I was reading in the tabloids, and also in other web sites that ac milan was facing the charges of the calciopoli scandal, it would be the second time that milas goes to seria be to find any kind of evidence that proves that the giants were involved... at it would be veru crappy if this happens, nevertheless will need to wait , surely this will also affect the mind state of am italian players in WC, will need to wait to see the final veredict.

regards,

ric.

we'll see...I believe Milan does not deserve to be relegated but I want us to go down too if we're found guilty!!!
I_Rossoneri
From what I can gather we will lose points for next season and Galliani and Leani face charges. It looks like Juve, Fio and Lazio could go down though!

So they should exchange the name "serie A" and "serie B" laugh.gif
Milan Are Brilliant
Thanks for the info, but this really isn't much use without a reliable source.

As for now this topic will be moved.

Nothing happened as always!!!!Doping is a completely different chapter...FIFA knows it happens and when something comes up they just close their eyes...They can't stop it cause simply they don't want to; They can't have footballers play 9 games a month with no drugs because players wouldn't be able to hold on..how would they be able to play as well as they do in the World Cup after such an exhausting season???

It looks like we are going to be docked from some points but otherwise we don't have to worry about not playing in the CL or relegation

Juventus Face Relegation, Points Off For AC Milan, Fiorentina & Lazio, AS Roma in Champions League After Serie A Scandal

Italian champions Juventus are now facing relegation after it was announced that four Serie A football teams and a number of match officials and referees have been officially charged in Italy's latest match-fixing scandal.

Serie A giants Juventus, AC Milan, Fiorentina and Lazio, as well as 26 other individuals - including eight referees and two linesmen - have been ordered to appear before a tribunal, which commences on June 29 – three days after Italy face Australia in their first knockout match.

The Italian Football Federation (FIFC) announced the charges to the Serie A clubs after Italy secured a place in the second round of the World Cup Finals, beating the Czech Republic 2-0.

But all the parties involved have declared their innocence prior to the tribunal that many believe will lead to the relegation of Serie A champions Juventus, who lifted the Scudetto for the second consecutive time this year, making it 29 times in all.

Italy’s first-choice goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, who plays for Juventus, said the charges would not hurt the national side's chances.

“[This scandal] has not left any mark on us,” said Buffon, who is one of thirteen of Italy's 23-man squad for the World Cup Finals who play for the four clubs facing charges.

Former Juventus General Manager Luciano Moggi, Juventus' ex-CEO Antonio Giraudo – who both resigned in May - and Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani were among those charged, their clubs said.

Former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, who is also AC Milan's owner and president said: ”Milan has absolutely nothing to do with this scandal, from either a penal or moral standpoint.”

Lazio also issued a statement, saying both the team and its president, Claudio Lotito, had nothing to fear from the charges.

But, unlike Milan and Lazio, Juventus didn’t deny the accusations, but said they would study the charges, also saying they reserved the right to defend themselves.

The main charges - sporting fraud and violating fairness and probity - can be punished by fines, bans and, worst-case scenario, relegation, which many believe Juventus face.

It has been reported by the Gazzetta dello Sport that Juventus are facing relegation, with AC Milan being deducted 13-20 points, but retaining their place in the champions league and will be joined by AS Roma and Chievo in the top-tier competition.

Fiorentina are likely to be deducted points, but will still have a place in European competition with the UEFA Cup, with Lazio expected to lose their UEFA place to either Livorno or Palermo.

The verdicts will be delivered between July 7 and July 9 which, if Italy progress to the Final, will seriously affect their preparations, with the Final itself being played on July 9.
