Congrats, La Palma, on Bochum's dismantling of Hamburg today. (3-0)

And...Bayern could only manage a 1-1 draw against Gladbach, who are bottom team in the league.

Hehe...once again it was Fanis Gekas who scored the 1-0. HThat was now the eigth consecutive match in which he used to score. His 20th goal this season....simply amazing!

So... who's the champ in Germany? biggrin.gif

Man I can't believe he turned out to be so good a player for Bochum... I would have never expected it!

And it was a nice goal too! I think the team is saved for sure now right?? And only 3 points aways from UEFA Cup! biggrin.gif

This years Bundesliga is one madhouse. Maybe we'll really see Bochum in next years UEFA Cup. Next week we're playing against Stuttgart, they play really amazing right now, but with Gekas....everything is possible!
Tennie
Interesting Bundesliga results today.

Borussia Dortmund 2 - Schalke 0
Bochum 2 - Stuttgart 3 (sorry La Palma!)
Eintracht Frankfurt 2 - Werder Bremen 1

So now, Stuttgart two points ahead of Schalke in first, with Bremen 2 points behind Schalke.

With goal differential taken into the equasion, Stuttgart will win the title if they win or tie next week.

... what Tennie said.

I was really hoping Stuttgart didn't win it.

Hitzlsperger left Villa on bad teams to go there, now he's going to get a league winners medal, damn him!

With the dilema of being a Dortmund fan, I hardly wanted Schalke to win it.. Why is life so cruel. sad.gif

Why are the likes of Klose, Toni and Ribery ruining their chances of playing Champions League football next season? huh.gif

I can understand Ribery wanting to go there.

But Klose and Toni only have a couple of years at the top left, if Bayern don't reutn to the top real quick, they're not going to have that big chance in the Champions League. I thought we were pretty awful over 2 legs againt them, and still beat hem comfortably.

One year in the uefa cup not gonna kill them. Sure, they used to CL but don't worry I can't promise you they will win league title next year for sure. That will be their big objective and their building a good team to do so.

Brazilian international Ze Roberto has been linked with a return to Bayern Munich according to reports in Germany.
The 32-year-old, who played for Bayern for four years earlier in his career, is rumoured to be on the cusp of signing a two-year contract at the Allianz Arena, according to Kicker.

Bayern failed to qualify for the Champions League after suffering their worst season in years under Felix Magath, who saw Ze Roberto as surplus to requirements.

But with former coach Ottmar Hitzfeld taking over halfway through the season, a return to the club for the 32-year-old looks on the cards.

Hitzfeld has always rated the Brazilian international highly and sees the versatile player as the ideal candidate to fill the gap left by Manchester United bound Owen Hargreaves.

Ze Roberto though, who currently plays for FC Santos, is unlikely to sign a contract before the end of the month as the Brazilian league is still ongoing.

Toni, Klose, Ribery and now Ze Roberto? When you take out the money they made off Hargreaves, that's great business on their part.

Ribery set for Bayern

Bayern Munich expect to complete the signing of Marseille star Franck Ribery on Thursday.

The clubs are believed to have agreed a €25million (£17million) deal for the France international, which would make Ribery the most expensive player in Bayern's history.

"We just have a few details to settle, but the deal should be made on Wednesday," Marseille chairman Pape Diouf told L'Equipe.

"Ribery will leave for Munich on Thursday to have his medical and sign the contract. Bayern have always acted in a perfectly fair way since they declared their interest.

"When the player agreed to go to Bayern and our financial conditions were accepted, it was out of the question to imagine him going to any other club."

Ribery is expected to agree a four-year deal.

Diouf also confirmed that the money earned from the deal should allow Marseille to complete a deal for France striker Djibril Cisse.

"At the weekend or early next week, we will negotiate with Liverpool to try to keep Djibril Cisse."

Barcelona midfielder Ludovic Giuly recently hinted to a French radio station that he was eager to replace Ribery at Marseille, but Diouf claims nothing has yet been agreed.

"It is a just a vague appeal from the Barcelona player so far. We have to see what the conditions of the deal would be.

"But I have to be clear: we won't overpay anyone."

(Agr)

Bayern are close to sign Klose too. Maximum they can sign him in a year for free.

eh what? how come you say that?

klose is an excellent striker!
though I have to say that his working is better with diego ...
kurtsimonw
I find him a 'show off'. He'll score alot of goals against weaker teams, and rarely score in important games or against better teams. Just look at his World Cup record.

10 goals - It's superb.. Only 1 outside of the groups - Not so good. But as much as I hate him, in reality he'll make them a better team.

The thought of Klose, Toni, Makaay and Podolski all on one team playing in the UEAF Cup is quite scary. tongue.gif

laugh.gif Bayern will have to wait...supposedly Werder told em they can have Klose if they give up Podolski...laugh.gif

EDIT: He will however be joining them.

Madrid paper AS today claims that Van der Vaart told Bild this week that:

"I don't want Bayern. I'll stay in Hamburg unless R.Madrid wants me..."

I dunno if this is true, but it would be nice. The Kaka' talks would stop if RvV signs for Madrid.

Anyone from the German crew can confirm this? (Bild)
