QUOTE
A 4-4-2 system composing of an Adriano and Trezeguet attack.
Fontana: Saved the impossible. The reason why Juve only won 1-0. Kept Chievo in the game, but the boys could not return the favour. Inter could be asking why they let him leave if he continues to play like this.
Materazzi: Set up Adriano’s first goal. Seems to be more laid back and less tense then last year and more comfortable in his position. A good sign if Inter want to win.
Kuffour: Solid first Serie A game. Is adapting well to Italian soccer. A much needed addition to Roma’s defence.
Oddo: Great game. Kept the opposition at bay. He will have many suitors if he continues to play like this. Can push up front and play the ball well.
Cannavaro: Another solid game from the Azzurri captain. Was not busy, but he is a great leader and he can push up front to clear the ball. Great in set piece situations with his headers when he is needed.
Figo: A solid first game in Serie A. Almost scored. Works well with Adriano.
Fiore: A triumphant return to Serie A by scoring a goal. Lippi will have to consider him if he continues to play well.
Taddei: Making the Roma shirt his own. Gave the Reggina defence headaches.
Vieira: A solid game from the former Arsenal symbol. Has given Juventus a new dimension in midfield and is showing his great form.
Adriano: A one man goal scoring machine. Inter’s new symbol. Vieri’s departure has not affected Inter at all. If he continues to score the Scudetto could be Inter bound.
Trezeguet: Living up to the reputation to being called Trezegol. The Ibra, Trezegol, and Mutu connection will prove to be a deadly force to reckon with in all competitions this year.
