Just a stupid foul really, what a stupid thing to go and do.
EDIT: Apparently the injury is very serious, he's gone straight to hospital.

Yeah, it didn't look
that bad when I was watching it. But it must be pretty horrific as they aren't even showing a replay of it. Hopefully it's not as bad as expected, but the signs are that it's pretty bad.

Poor Eduardo.

I'm trying to catch up with text play by play (Fox Soccer isn't showing the game). You never like to see a player go out with that kind of injury, and Eduardo has done well for the Gooners + for the Croatian NT this year.
And now I understand why the text commentary said that the players nearby looked ill. That picture makes me want to
I hope Eduardo can recover.

Feb 23 2008, 02:51 PM
I'd be the first one to say ban the player for life. But in defense of Taylor, it was just a badly timed challenge, there was no intent. At first I didn't even think it should have been a yellow card, it's only the seriousness of the injury that got him sent off I think.
Hopefully it's not career threatening. Sorry Locke, Fillipo.

Silly mistake by Clichy, lost the ball, stuck his leg out and got the ball, but the player fell over his leg.
Not a penalty in a million years, the free-kick they scored from was even worse, though. You'll see what I mean.

Now it's Liverpool-Boro.
Reina, Finnan, Aurelio, Arbeloa, Hyypia, Mascherano, Gerrard, Babel, Lucas, Kuyt, Torres.
Agger injuried, Carra suspended and Skrtel benched. Benitez... playing again with the defence.
Surprised for Alonso and Pennant not even benched.
