This Newcastle is a f joke.

Tévez just had the miss of the century. Great cross by Nani there.

*EDIT* C.Ronaldo 0-2.

It seems that Giggs told Nani that he wants him as his heir in United. What do you guys think?
Tennie
Nani is a gifted player, but it's my impression he's a bit of a (sorry!) [insert Porty's favourite word here]. I'd like him better if he'd cut the 'tude and stop the unnecessary showboating. He'd do well if he stayed at United.

Well, it's a very nice gesture,..

Eduardo will be out for about 8 months, which means no EURO for him... sad.gif

Good player but overrated. The general conscenus from my Man Utd loving friends is generally the same. Showboating in the Premiership only leads to vicious tackles later on.

His dribbling is outstanding, and his longshots are good, but i dont see him as a big team player his other skills are okay, not great but not poor

Simao and Quaresma are and will stay better players

Cnut attitude? Not as Cristiano, Ibrahimovic, Rio, Rooney, Matrix, etc.
He was never a guy like that. He's humble. Nothing like Cristiano for example.

Simao is a better player but he's 28.
Quaresma yes. Always had more potential. Even more than Cristiano IMHO. Just his attitude - more or less like Ibrahimovic - are 'killing' a superb career. If he leaves Porto I do hope he gets a good club/coach that can motivate him and who knows change his attitude.
Tennie
It would seem Cristiano is having a bad effect on him, then. sad.gif

In general terms, I really like to watch Nani play (moreso for the Seleccao than for MU, but I just don't much like MU). He could be a truly great player in future. Not sure at this point if I think it's best for him to stay at MU or to (for example) try Spain or Italy.

What a ****ing sick tackle by that dumb **** Taylor!! He should be given at least a 5 game ban for this deadly **** in my view...

And stupid Clichy!!! 2 huge kaladzities in 3 seconds, Gallas was right to be angry... I hope Arsenal will still win it! mad.gif Arrghhhh!!!

Best player in the world just scored again. His 29th this season. 21 in the league.

That foul on Eduardo today was probably one of the worst I've seen in a long time.

His foot was only holding on by his skin. ohmy.gif

It was seriously messed up and hopefully Taylor will get what he deserves for that

Wenger said that he should not be allowed to play football anymore...it's harsh but it's true...

Did Martin Taylor get sent off for that?

I wish him the best of luck ...

Wenger's comment made me laugh, he should be banned for as long as Eduardo can't play in my opinion, but Wenger is just a fool, I really hate that guy "Everybody knows the only way to beat Arsenal, is to kick Arsenal" rolleyes.gif

He has some serious problems, he just really can't take it when he doesn't win a game, as for him complaining about that bad tackle? In my opinion he has no right to, under his management, Arsenal are the most ill disciplined team I've ever seen.

I can see why people think we're cynical c*nts, I really can.

Damn I'm angry about this game.
We now have THREE strikers left, Eduardo's entire career might be over, and we lost two points because Mike-F@CKING-Dean is f-ed up.
On top of it, when there's thirty seconds left of a game we're leading, our left back tries PASSING it out of defence, rather than just belting it up the pitch.
McLeish say's it was a harsh decision, and that he needs to see it again.

Still, I'm very, very impressed by Milan's gesture.
The fact that our opponnents in the Cl pays more respect than the team that injured him, that say's something...

It would be nice to see someone other than the big 4 win a trophy, but it's in Villa's best interest if Chelsea won it. So, I'll have to support JT, Lamps and the Chelsea boys!

And Cisse, twice.

But we do have Lucas Neill playing in the EPL, he specialises in breaking bones, he is the most hard tackling person I've ever seen.

Not a surprise Liverpool must replace ol'Finnan that can't even run. And Rafinha is a very good option. Not as expensive as Dani Alves... I wouldn't be surprised if this goes trough.

HT Reading 0-1 Villa.

Barry had a terrible penalty miss on '30, both high and wide. We should be 0-3 up at least. Defensive mistake + great pass from Agbonlahor and Young made it 0-1 in first half stoppage time. biggrin.gif

Arsène Wenger admits he made some "excessive" comments about Martin Taylor following Saturday's game at St Andrews.

Passions were running high during the Arsenal manager's post-match press conference after a game in which Eduardo sustained a broken leg from the Birmingham defender's challenge and the visitors let two points slip in the final seconds due to a debatable penalty.

Wenger was strident in his view on Taylor's tackle but later he re-assessed his own viewpoint.

“It was a highly emotional afternoon and we were all shocked by the injury to Eduardo," he said. "On reflection, I feel that my comments about Martin Taylor were excessive. I said what I did immediately after the game, in the heat of the moment.”

@Kurts, over the past few years we our fouling play has diminished a lot.
Last year we were the team committing the fewest fouls, and the team most fouled against.

I've heard of Pools interest too, but Schalke won't give up on him easily. It'll be an expensive buy Liverpool, 15-10 mill I'd guess. Much will depend on Schalke beeing able to catch a CL spot or not.

FT Reading 1-2 Villa.

Harewood comes off the bench to make it 0-2. Reading, with 3 minutes added on, score in the 95th from a free-kick. Which is starting to p!ss me off as we haven't kept a clean sheet in God knows how long. Starting to get ridiculous now.

Ah well, level on points with the Merseysiders.

GK: Cech
Defenders: Belletti, Carvalho, Terry, Bridge
Midfield: Essien, Lampard, Mikel
Forwards: Anelka, Drogba, Wright-Phillips

Spurs
GK: Robinson
Defenders: Hutton, Woodgate, King, Chimbonda
Midfielders: Lennon, Zokora, Jenas, Malbranque
Forwards: Berbatov, Keane

Interesting Chelsea lineup. No Joe Cole (bad for Chelsea, imo), no Cashley (given recent form, probably a good thing for Chelsea) and no Ballack (given recent form, a bit of a surprise). And Spurs has Robinson in goal? Eek for Spurs.

As I said, it was in the middle, what else could he do? If the FK is in the middle you just can't position yourself. Especially the side Drogba put it in, the keepers mentality is to always move to the side of the goal where the wall is - since players usually put it over the wall - so it made it even more difficult.

I'd have ben shocked if anybody saved that.

Anyways, HT 1-0 Chelsea. Pleased with the result so far.

If our refs went by the proper rules, Berbatov wouldn't even have been on the pitch in the first place. 2 dives = yellow cards, he should be off.
