We beat Scotland 4-0 a couple of days ago. 4-0. In football. Norway. Norway beat Scotland 4-0. Norway won a football match. Norway scored goals. Norway didn't concede. Norway won a football match.

It's all because of Carew. His play in the build up to that 3rd goal was Torres like.

He was outstanding, despite not scoring. He got Caldwell sent off, won the free-kick that led to our first and scored a perfectly fine goal which the ref didn't give.

shocking. I wonder why. No silva, no dinho not even pato. He calls up adriano but doesn't call pato? I just don't get him. But its brazil so i guess it won't make that big of a difference anyways seeing they'll probably win.

Exactly. Argentina are useless. I have a right to say this given that they haven't beaten us in 11 years.
Very much looking forward to England-Croatia in a few weeks time. Tried to get tickets, but to no avail. Victory would be very, very nice after the Euro2008 qualifying.

England squad for games vs Slovenia and Croatia at Wembley
Goalkeepers
Ben Foster - Manchester United, Robert Green - West Ham United, Paul Robinson - Blackburn Rovers
Defenders
Wayne Bridge - Manchester City, Wes Brown - Manchester United, Ashley Cole - Chelsea, Glen Johnson - Liverpool, Joleon Lescott - Manchester City, John Terry - Chelsea, Matthew Upson - West Ham United
Midfielders
Gareth Barry - Manchester City, David Beckham - LA Galaxy, Michael Carrick - Manchester United, Steven Gerrard - Liverpool, Frank Lampard - Chelsea, Aaron Lennon - Tottenham Hotspur, James Milner - Aston Villa, Shaun Wright-Phillips - Manchester City, Ashley Young - Aston Villa
Forwards
Carlton Cole - West Ham United, Peter Crouch - Tottenham Hotspur, Jermain Defoe - Tottenham Hotspur, Emile Heskey - Aston Villa, Wayne Rooney - Manchester United
Decent enough squad. Just wish we could do something about the striker. Rooney is the only real World class one we have. Crouch has a good record for England and Heskey usually plays well enough, but not World class. Defoe is a bit hit and miss.

Some Croatian guy, think it may have been their coach, has today suggested that Coratian players have been targetted in games in so they can't play against England.
Firstly, England play against many foreign countries around the World and there players don't get injured, don't think the World revolves around you. Second of all, Eduardo and Modric were both injured in games against Birmingham, both by players renowned for going hard into tackles. Although, to say the Eduardo injury was any fault of the Birmingham defender is a joke, he shouldn't have even been sent off.
Hopefully Ukraine win, then it would mean anything but a win for Croatia at Wembley would be disasterous. With 1 point being enough for England to win the group.

He's the Croatian FA president. But don't bother with him Kurt, he's a very old man who used to be a good player and coach but got stuck in the 1970-ties where does things happened.
I watched Lee Bowyers tackle on Modric and there wasn't any chance it could have been an intentionl injury.

It was a huge surprise to me. It was a foul, but then Modric stayed down and I thought he'd just took a big knock or something. Was amazed that he broke his leg in what seemed like just a normal challenge. Very unfortunate. You got any other players missing for the game?

And speaking of the Dutch, they beat Japan 3-0 in their friendly today. Goals by Van Persie, Sneijder and Huntelaar.
Unfortunately for Sneijder, he went off on a stretcher shortly after scoring, having heard a 'crack' in his ankle. The dutch doctors don't think it's anything serious.
Shevchenko scored for Ukraine in their game v. Andorra.
Finally, Albertino scored for the Azzurrini yesterday but they lost the game to Wales 2-1. People aren't happy about the results and fingers are being pointed at the coach, the defense, and some of the 'senior' U21s (notably Balotelli).

It weren't a penalty at all, just 50/50. Rooney was being dragged all over the box and then had a bit of a swipe at the defender. Just get on with the game refs.
