HT 1-0.

It should have been 2-0. Klose's miss was enormous.

I love how the entire World is obsessed with us. biggrin.gif

Just makes it far, far more enjoyable when the media rams it down your throats.

I think I'll enjoy this. Win/win.

And it makes it so much more enjoyable when after all the hype you fail time and time again biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

That's where we win. We're pleased with knockout stage appearances. So we piss the World off by pushing it down your throats for 4 years. Then you try and 'get your own back' by making fun of something we're fairly pleased with? biggrin.gif Okay. I'll take that all the time.

But most importantly, the World can't stop talking about us. Say you hate us all you want, but you'll never stop talking about us. We're just too relevant. wink.gif
Fillipo Simone
Germany miss an "on" Özil. Hope next half will be better for him.
Fishdoll
Nah, Kurt. You're just too self-obsessed. smile.gif

So, Germany-Argentina. Will anyone get sent off in this one? Been some minor naughtiness already.

You're pleased by failure?? In that case what am I making fun of, you obviously think as much of the English team as I do. biggrin.gif

Like it or not England are one of the big nations, and they get talked about just like the others... And it only get's more ettention because your media hypes the team then when they fail tear them apart. It's very amusing to talk about biggrin.gif

Not really. Nobody talks about England in England. It's the rest of the World that can't shut up about us.

Example: This game has nothing to do with England, han has to mention us. It's an obsession, bordering on racism, given the hatred. wink.gif

This isn't even football. 'Germany' basically play rugby, hopefully Spain put on a football show later.

Well done to Germany. I'd hoped they would win but in no way did I expect a beat down like this. 96.gif

Sorry to all who don't support Germany, but I think there's nobody who deserves more to win the cup then Germany.

Btw. guys, Otamendi had a very very bad day.

Lol racism? Now you're going overboard, it's not like anyone is talking about anything other then football here. Like I said the only reason England are talked about is because of all the hype the media builds around their team.

And it does since Germany came into to this round be defeating the best team in the World wink.gif

Everyone has their own list of teams they like to make fun of mine personally are said best team in the World and the circuis that is France. What's the World Cup without poking fun at rival teams.

Holland.

'Germany' play hoofball which means they'll struggle if they go behind, Holland dint have such problems in my opinion.

Germany's Germans and non-Germans are all playing equally well. stop being jealous, please.

Noticed that... He was absolutely awful, especially in the first half.

Regarding who the deserved winner is. I think Germany haven't really faced any tough opposition, on paper yes, England and Argentina should be concidered tough but both were pathetic, Argentina has been suspect in defence this entire tournament but it was well hidden due to the teams they faced and their attack. Mexico was playing with them before the scored that offside goal.

As I'm expecting Spain to go through tonight, I think they will be the real test for the Germans and imo are better then Germany in every department. So we'll see, that is unless Paraguay don't give us the shock of this tournament

I'm going to have to agree with you here. I think if Germany go down a goal they're through, they've only destroyed teams because they let them attack then they hit on the counter and score off some ridiculous defending, ala England and Argentina today.

I don't think they're as good as they've been made out to be, or rather the team's they've played made them out to be
servbot
If Germany's players are on the team while abiding with FIFA's rules, then WGAF.

LOL @ Argentina.

Germany and Spain (assuming) should be a great semi-final match.

Yeah

Boateng
Khedira
Tasci
Ozil
Podolski
Klose
Cacau
Gomez

Am I missing anyone? I think all the teams should start doing this. Scouting the best talent and getting them a passport so they can play for your country. Genius

Me too. Seems like a lot of jealousy and people drinking their Haterade. This is the 3rd straight semi-final appearance in the WC. They're a very good team, and their players play as a team and are better for their country than for their clubs it seems. .

It's called jealousy. Germany has been constantly the most despised NT throughout the years.
Linkman
Now I can watch the world cup in peace again. Bye bye Argies!
Fishdoll
Well, of that list, Boateng, Khedira, Tasci, Ozil, and Gomez were born in Germany. Want them to have to trace their ancestry back 6 generations or something?

Klose, Podolski and Cacau you'd have an argument with.
TriniKing_CE
Other than Cacu and the two Polish guys? Aren't all the rest 'born' in Germany (i.e. making them German?) despite having other descents?

Haven't we had the birth nation argument about a million times?

Some of those guys have parents from other nations, they were 'just' born in germany. It's not like they'd have to pull out a family tree the size of Texas to trace back where they're originally from
CHU-LIP
Some of you guys are really pathetic and probably don't know what they are talking about. Except for Cacau, all German national team players are German since they are grown up there and most of them are actually born there, most of them have also at least one German parent. They are Germans, and Germany is their country more than any other country.

So what? Just because you're born and raised in a country that automatically makes you of that nationality? Well with that argument G. Rossi shouldn't play for Italy since he was born and raised in the US but has an Italian parent rolleyes.gif

No one is jealous of the Germans, they have been really good so far and no one is begrudging them that. I just don't like all the 'almost' Germans they have on the team. Idon't like the fact for example that Amauri could techically play for Italy just because of a stupid passport. All this mixing and matching should be left for club football not the national teams.

And Germany are not the only country that have a lot of players who aren't purely from that country either but they're the ones who have come this far so obviously they'll be the topic of discussion. I just think some players choose the obviously better footballing country over another simply because of a better chance at success. For example if you had the choice would you choose Turkey or Germany?? I think it's pretty obvious

thats 5 players, and all the others were not talking about generations back. all of them having to chose between germany and they're mother nations.

I can't belive that Muller has become this good in just one year.
I thought it was going to be penalty but seriously is Argentina as "good" as Australia?
Wow, Klose has done 7 nick i WC. Messi is not as good without his Xavi and Ineista
