Schalke are in serious trouble now...they lost their cup match against Mainz. Now their plan to win the DFB-Pokal and thus proceed to the UEFA-Cup failed

And their attack...it's such a joke. They can't do anything.
Tonights big match is Leverkusen vs. Bayern. I hope that Leverkusen will make but they'll choke anyway.
As for our last match against Cottbus. We won thanks to our first penalty in 43 matches and are now the third best Bundesliga team of 2009. There is a ray of hope that we'll play Bundesliga football for another year.

I get what you mean and actually have evidence to proof it. When Klose still played for Werder in early 2007 he announced that he'd only leave Werder if a big offer from a foreign club came in and that he would never consider to leave Werder for Bayern. Two weeks later or so the press found out that he met with Uli Hoenß at a motorway restaurant near Hannover to negotiate a transfer. Bremen didn't know anything about this. Since then I can't stand that liar a bit.
As for the game. Bayern were horrible till they scored their first goal (thank to an Adler blackout). Leverkusen totally outplayed them for 70 minutes. Helmes was brilliant once again as well as Renato Augusto and Barnetta. Bayern played as if they'd have lost already. But the last 15 minutes after Bayern scored their second were thrilling...until Kießling scored the decider after a counterattack. All in all, well done Leverkusen. Now be nice and lose against Bochum next weekend

Good, considering that we only brought one new player in since the winter break: Diego Klimowicz. But he surely strengthens our squad. Tall, strong striker...he's good (but already 34). We won all our three home games so far and also snatched a point in Bielefeld. Hope we'll be able to get a draw in Leverkusen but considering how bad we've away recently....it's going to be really tough.

Hey LaP have you seen Barzagli and Zaccardo play at all this season? How are they doing?

Mar 8 2009, 12:46 AM
There was a big interview with Zaccardo in the Italiain press the other day; he was complaining that he didn't have the faith of the coach. From that, I'd guess that his season isn't exactly going well. I haven't seen Wolfsburg play much recently, however, so can't comment other than the article.

Well...it's the Bundesliga. Anything can happen these days. Hoffenheim, Bayern, Wolfsburg and Hamburg have the same amount of points. Hertha has only 4 points more. I'd say it's the most exciting season since the 90ies.
1. Hertha BSC 46
2. 1899 Hoffenheim 42
2. Bayern München 42
4. VfL Wolfsburg 42
5. Hamburger SV 42
6. VfB Stuttgart 39
And Hamburg....well, they were pretty much killed by a brilliant Marko Marin and a horrible performance by Joris Mattijsen.
QUOTE (dst @ Mar 8 2009, 12:07 AM)

Hey LaP have you seen Barzagli and Zaccardo play at all this season? How are they doing?
Barzagli is OK. He's a starter and his performances are solid, but not extraordinary. Zaccardo has been really, really bad so far...if not horrible. And when he says that Magath doesn't have enough faith in him I can only say it's needless moaning. Magath has given him so many chances and I haven't seen a single good game by him. Wolfsburg will most likely sell him next summer.
And here's a tip for anyone interested in Bundesliga football. Today, 17:00 CET, Bochum vs. Leverkusen.

Eleven. My bet is still that Bayern are going to win the Meisterschaft once again although their form has been amazingly unsteady. The interesting question for me is: What does Hertha do at the top? They used to play horribly bad football in the past years and now they're right at the top winning almost every important game. Well, they have an Andrej Voronin in top form but....I still can't believe it.

The Relegation is actually a modus they reestablished. The team which is 16th on the table at the end of the Bundesliga season plays two K.O. matches against the third of the 2nd Bundesliga for the last Bundesliga spot in the 2009/2010 season.

Werder and Schalke are not on form this season...the latter play horrible in fact. Hamburg...it's a gamble. The one week they look like a team capable of winning the Meisterschaft and the next they're playing like amateurs (it's not THAT bad of course). Bochum still has to play Bayern, Hoffenheim, Hertha and Stuttgart. Those are tough games. But a trend-setting game will be our match in Gladbach in two weeks. If we win that one Gladbachs chances to avoid relegation will be very bad. I'll most probably go there as Bochum is going to subsidize the tickets so that I can get one for 7 Euro.

Pfff...we scored they didn't

But it was a great trip to Mönchengladbach. Me and my friends arrived at 19:30 (1 hour before the kick off) but they wouldn't let they away fans in before 20.15. Gladbachs new stadium is really nice, like all these modern stadiums they're building all over Germany these days (although it lacks the charm). But it's in an industrial park so it takes you almost half an hour to get there from the train station in Gladbach

However, the game was great and I was afraid I'd die before the end because all we did in the last 30 minutes was defending.
The worst thing about the trip was the way home. Traveling from Münster to Gladbach via train took me less than 3 hours. The way back took me almost 6 hours (stupid Deutsche Bahn
