Schalke are in serious trouble now...they lost their cup match against Mainz. Now their plan to win the DFB-Pokal and thus proceed to the UEFA-Cup failed laugh.gif And their attack...it's such a joke. They can't do anything.
Tonights big match is Leverkusen vs. Bayern. I hope that Leverkusen will make but they'll choke anyway.

As for our last match against Cottbus. We won thanks to our first penalty in 43 matches and are now the third best Bundesliga team of 2009. There is a ray of hope that we'll play Bundesliga football for another year. smile.gif

Leverkusen have some good young players: Adler, Helmes, Rolfes, etc. And now they also have Toni Kroos.

I do like them. But really the celebration was because I REALLY REALLY dislike Hoffenheim.

I aslo like Stefan Kießling hes pretty good ! smile.gif

I thought so. Keira is a West Ham fan for instance.

Just saw this. Schalke lost to MAINZ? (they're 2.Bundesliga, right?) Hahahaha.

Fishdoll hopes Leverkusen wins today!

For once, Fishdoll got his wish. Leverkusen 4 - 2 Bayern. smile.gif

Who scored Tennie smile.gif ???
Tennie
For Leverkusen: Barnetta, Vidal, Helmes, and Kiessling.
For Bayern: Lucio and Klose.

In German ss = ß, but it's a name, so we should stick to Kießling.

I get what you mean and actually have evidence to proof it. When Klose still played for Werder in early 2007 he announced that he'd only leave Werder if a big offer from a foreign club came in and that he would never consider to leave Werder for Bayern. Two weeks later or so the press found out that he met with Uli Hoenß at a motorway restaurant near Hannover to negotiate a transfer. Bremen didn't know anything about this. Since then I can't stand that liar a bit.

As for the game. Bayern were horrible till they scored their first goal (thank to an Adler blackout). Leverkusen totally outplayed them for 70 minutes. Helmes was brilliant once again as well as Renato Augusto and Barnetta. Bayern played as if they'd have lost already. But the last 15 minutes after Bayern scored their second were thrilling...until Kießling scored the decider after a counterattack. All in all, well done Leverkusen. Now be nice and lose against Bochum next weekend smile.gif

That's certainly one reason to hate a player!

How're Bochum doing at the moment, last time I chekced I think they were just outside of the relegation zone.

Good, considering that we only brought one new player in since the winter break: Diego Klimowicz. But he surely strengthens our squad. Tall, strong striker...he's good (but already 34). We won all our three home games so far and also snatched a point in Bielefeld. Hope we'll be able to get a draw in Leverkusen but considering how bad we've away recently....it's going to be really tough.
LaPalma
Haha....15 minutes played and Hannover are already taking the lead IN Munich. 1-0, Stajner. laugh.gif laugh.gif

Edit: Forget that. 25 minutes played and Bayern seem to gain the upper hand. Van Buyten scores the equalizer and Klose is there to score their second sleep.gif
Tennie
Fishdoll is confused. 4-1 is not an unexpected score in Hamburg-Gladbach -- but it is when Gladbach gets the 4 goals. WTF happened, La Palma?
dst
Hey LaP have you seen Barzagli and Zaccardo play at all this season? How are they doing?
Tennie
There was a big interview with Zaccardo in the Italiain press the other day; he was complaining that he didn't have the faith of the coach. From that, I'd guess that his season isn't exactly going well. I haven't seen Wolfsburg play much recently, however, so can't comment other than the article.

Well...it's the Bundesliga. Anything can happen these days. Hoffenheim, Bayern, Wolfsburg and Hamburg have the same amount of points. Hertha has only 4 points more. I'd say it's the most exciting season since the 90ies.

1. Hertha BSC 46
2. 1899 Hoffenheim 42
2. Bayern München 42
4. VfL Wolfsburg 42
5. Hamburger SV 42
6. VfB Stuttgart 39

And Hamburg....well, they were pretty much killed by a brilliant Marko Marin and a horrible performance by Joris Mattijsen.
QUOTE (dst @ Mar 8 2009, 12:07 AM) *

Barzagli is OK. He's a starter and his performances are solid, but not extraordinary. Zaccardo has been really, really bad so far...if not horrible. And when he says that Magath doesn't have enough faith in him I can only say it's needless moaning. Magath has given him so many chances and I haven't seen a single good game by him. Wolfsburg will most likely sell him next summer.

And here's a tip for anyone interested in Bundesliga football. Today, 17:00 CET, Bochum vs. Leverkusen.

Eleven. My bet is still that Bayern are going to win the Meisterschaft once again although their form has been amazingly unsteady. The interesting question for me is: What does Hertha do at the top? They used to play horribly bad football in the past years and now they're right at the top winning almost every important game. Well, they have an Andrej Voronin in top form but....I still can't believe it.
Fillipo Simone
Well, Gladbach under Hans Mayer are transforming. They won deservedly against HSV.

Bayern? Still top favorites. They'll do it. I belive in Klinsi.

Well...Gladbach brought in some decent players in January. Stalteri, Bahi and others. Plus, Meyer starts to play Marin. He's still a clown in my eyes (Meyer that is).
Fillipo Simone
I don't know. I like him. He did IMO provoke Marin to excell to the next level with all that fuss and benching.

Well, it's possible though Bayern are obviously favorites for that tie.
Well of course they can both avoid relegation but Bochums chances for that are lot better than Gladbachs.
Table after 23 of 34 games:

Azaouagh is widely criticized for his lost dribblings. He's easily Bochums most gifted player but he needs to be more effective. Our best player was by far our GK Daniel Fernandes. We earned the one point thx to his goalkeeping.

Almost...

Dark blue = Champions
Medium blue = Champions League Qualification (only the Bundesliga champions have a save spot in the CL)
Sky blue = Europa League
Red = Relegated
Yellow = Relegation

The Relegation is actually a modus they reestablished. The team which is 16th on the table at the end of the Bundesliga season plays two K.O. matches against the third of the 2nd Bundesliga for the last Bundesliga spot in the 2009/2010 season.

Werder and Schalke are not on form this season...the latter play horrible in fact. Hamburg...it's a gamble. The one week they look like a team capable of winning the Meisterschaft and the next they're playing like amateurs (it's not THAT bad of course). Bochum still has to play Bayern, Hoffenheim, Hertha and Stuttgart. Those are tough games. But a trend-setting game will be our match in Gladbach in two weeks. If we win that one Gladbachs chances to avoid relegation will be very bad. I'll most probably go there as Bochum is going to subsidize the tickets so that I can get one for 7 Euro.
Fillipo Simone
I don't think Schalke's and Werder's low will maintain till season end. I'm sure Werder will eventually stabilize. Schalke aka Müller-Mill is another question, but if their strikers Westermann, Jones and Pander ( rolleyes.gif ) get a good day, anything is possible IMO.

Panders freekicks are absolutely amazing. I predict that at the end of this day Andy Müller has to look for a new job though.

Really? Hmh,...well, he played with his last comment so...

So...here's some more Bundesliga news:

- The argument between the DFB (German FA) goes on. Babbel once again criticized the DFB for not allowing him to go to take a special course to get his A-license. The DFB says he has to do a course for several months when he wants to get that license. he obviously can't...he has a Bundesliga team to coach.
- Bayern boss Karl-Heinz Rummenigge announced that bayern won't buy Hleb
- Bremens Claudio Pizzaro has to take the stand in the court for being accused of arranging an irregular transfer
- Chaos at Schalke: A newspaper claim that Rutten wanted to quit after Schalke fired manager Andreas Müller.

Baah...should have been an even result. Bochum was better in first half, Gladbach in second. But, still hope both can manage to avoid relegation.

Pfff...we scored they didn't smile.gif But it was a great trip to Mönchengladbach. Me and my friends arrived at 19:30 (1 hour before the kick off) but they wouldn't let they away fans in before 20.15. Gladbachs new stadium is really nice, like all these modern stadiums they're building all over Germany these days (although it lacks the charm). But it's in an industrial park so it takes you almost half an hour to get there from the train station in Gladbach dry.gif However, the game was great and I was afraid I'd die before the end because all we did in the last 30 minutes was defending.
The worst thing about the trip was the way home. Traveling from Münster to Gladbach via train took me less than 3 hours. The way back took me almost 6 hours (stupid Deutsche Bahn mad.gif ).
