FT 4-1 gud performance we played really gud despite a very shaky defence i hope we continue this

ambro should be starting ahead of gattuso who is not good enough to start right now.
our mid should have a trio of flamini-pirlo-ambro, then slot in seedorf/kaka/R80 + the strikers.
we played very well but j[/code]uve should have been up 1-0 which would have changed the game, and they should of had a penalty.

Wow. What a difference a week makes. When I saw the starting lineups, I was mentally preparing for a very long and depressing afternoon. The team really stepped it up, though! Kudos to them all. Even Brocchi (don't hit me, Habitant) made himself useful. The fact that the centerbacks didn't concede more to the Juve attack is, frankly, shocking. Now granted, Milan usually steps itself up for big games - and even if this one's technically a friendly, it's against Juve - but well done all round.

i am quite satisfied with our full backs then pirlo played a really gud game and flamini he is active in attack and defence really impressive box to box midfield ambro ahead of rino then i think brazillian trio after that will do fine with seedorf the sub kaka/R80

Smooth performance. Well done, lads.

Now I'm not defending Dida in any way, shape or form (he has to improve a lots to get back to his previous standards), but that's not to say Abbiati won't have conceded a goal. Juve were looking to score, and it could have been Abbiati between the posts when they scored.

Of course, Dida was second-choice before this match began, and whatever he would have done would not have changed the hierarchy. Of course, 4-0 naturally sounds better than 4-1. For now it will be Abbiati to wear the gloves. I'm sure everyone would agree on this.
Once again, good performance. But we shouldn't get carried away. For one, Buffon wasn't playing. And I'm sure once the season starts, it will be a whole different ball game.

Quote me on this.

It's a slap in the face that Gobbiati badmouths Milan and allows himself to be loaned out to thirty different teams after he leaves us for the first time, then he comes back only because B&G are too damn cheap to pick up a new keeper, and is given the gloves. If it were Storari or some other keeper we'd signed who made his way up to #1, I wouldn't care.

Well it was a smooth performance, definately much better then what we saw up until now.
As for the goal keeper situation, I think Dida just decided that one all on his own tonight by getting beated at his near post

You've got a point.
I'd have chosen another younger keeper any given Sunday over Abbiati. But that's how things are, so gotta get mentally prepared seeing his bald head in goal twice a week. Can't help it. Or else I'll go mad, seeing how I had to bear with Kalac towards the end of last season.

We should have signed any one of Akineev, Lloris, Boruc, or even Frey.

He wouldn't have changed things a bit even if he tried.

As of today, it was literally set in stone that it was Abbiati, Dida and then Kalac. No performance on earth could have changed it. Not with Carlo as coach, no. Of course, like all people here, I'd have preferred a clean sheet. Wasn't to be, I guess.

I can't disagree with the part about Carlo. That's happened to a couple other of our players.
I watched the second half on a stream and the sound was so out of whack, like a 45-rpm record (hopefully you guys know what those are) played on slow speed. I finally turned it off when the racist English commentators kept badmouthing Dida.

Haha. great game! we played like Milan for the first time this pre-season. and to think we managed to score 4 goals while many of our attackers are absent just makes me

. we were great not because the scoreline says so. we were great because of the way we played without some of our best players in defense and attack. Zambrotta has improved compared to last games, which is indeed good news. Flamini's just awesome, what a buy! and Janku is really on form (though his goal tonight was a gift from that joke in Juve's goal)... that all said, I'm not gonna let this game get me carried away. we've seen a lot of these one-match-wonders in the last two seasons in the league. I want to see consistency not one-off performances. hopefully Milan don't let us down this time around.

If that were true then Abbiati would have played the entire match and Carlo wouldn't have bothered giving Dida the second half to begin with.
Dida made his own bed now he has to lie in it, he was given the chances in pre-season and wasted them, he'll never get to the levels that he was before, he's a lost cause

Abbiati only got something like 45 minutes more then him, and still managed to put in great performances that in my eyes are enough to get the gloves on the first day. Once he commits his first howler then we'll talk abou tDida (Kalac is out of the question) but for now Dida has done nothing but make mistakes still

Sounds like we played alot better, knew I should have watched it.
The good news is were improving game by game. Once we get our attack back and hopefully a new CB, we should be good to go.
It sounds like Gattuso didn't play all so well again. I personally thought we should have sold him to Bayern. It was a good offer and we just picked up Flamini, it made sense. Hopefully he has a good season, but Ambrosini and Flamini should definitely be ahead of him in selection at this moment in time.
For the record Amauri was onside.

It's a slap in the face that someone will still rely on a guy who commits constant howlers and mistakes, like Dida... yet bad mouths Abbaiti who has put up consistently good performances in the last few years.
I was fairly impressed by the performance... and I think Milan did very well. Amauri's goal was never onside... it was clearly off-side and the call was correct. Anyways, I think our team improved in every aspect, but still has some work to do. Either way, I'm happy considering the formation that was played. Janku was one of my favorite players and still is... his runs really did impress me. I hear Ancelotti even after this game, is still calling for another defender...
Gattuso hasn't been playing well because he really has no competition for his position before... and it fell mostly to him to make those tackles. Flamini is here and will reduce pressure on him. He'll improve throughout this season I bet.
And as far as Abbiati... I think those who bad mouth him have their own agendas. Dida nearly cost us a second goal by the way when he left his box. Think about that before you want him as first choice. His reactions are completely mistimed.
