I think milan should buy young players ... like thiago silva fo exemple ... and not cannavaro ... and maldini is a big player... but he has to retire... why does milan always look for aged players ??? look at pato ... look at messi ... look at kun aguero ... christiano ronaldo ... young players create big teams and lead them to the success ... ok maldini is the lord of milan ... but 40 years ... man ...! and pirlo and emerson ... what the hell ! ... and im wondering why they bought zambrotta in last summer transfer window ... they could ask fo sergio ramos by exemple ... or someone young ... milan always choose players over 30 and that's not good ...! peace ! biggrin.gif

Well yeah, this is one of the big mysteries of this life. innocent.gif Something which is hard to explain, us investing in old players. Maldini is another story, we invested in him when he was 16. But guys like Beckham, Ronaldinho, Zamborghini, etc, should have been here 5 years back when they were at their peak. Not now.

So is Cannavaro. We should have got him 2-3 years ago, when he left Juve. Now's not the time.

Pirlo is in no way too old for Milan.

Its unrealistic to think someone like Ramos would want to leave league leaders (at the time) and CL contenders, for Serie A strugglers playing in the UEFA cup. We cannot and will not attract players like Kun and Messi, either we cant afford them, we can but get outbid, or they just dont want to play for an inferior team.

We also cannot build a team on teenagers, look at Wenger, is he instantly successful with his kids? Granted we should have been buying players like Pato since five years ago, and rebuilding gradually, but the board in their infinite wisdom decided players leaving their peak would be better

It's not usually polite to answer a question with a question but how long do people think this "OAP" transfer policy has been active?

man im not sayin that we should have kids like wenger's team ... but we must give a chance to the teenagers ,,, look at barcelona ... they are the best team in the world now ... and pep gives chances to boyan ... busquets ... sanchez ... etc. in milan look at senderos he started a game and got the injury after 30 min in the first half ... in milan the don't care about the young players ... they just look after the big name ... exemple : beckham ... all people are talking that it's a business transfer .... we should look for young and tallented players. .. if there aren't any of them in the youth milan team ... then lets look to get young players from other teams ... !peace!

Always... huh.gif ohmy.gif wink.gif

Milan counts on experience. I'm all for it. IF and IF there is a second base - a youth prospective. 2-3 years ago it looked very foggy, but now, now with Paloschi, Darmain, Abate, Gourcuff, Offredi, Strasser and Pato I'm sure we made that mixture pretty good again.

What are you talking about Filip? Of the 7 players you mentioned 4 are not even at Milan right now and Darmian, Strasser are not even playing (please don't mention the Udinese game). It's only Pato that's actually a vital member of our squad... You know that owning youngsters is not quite the same as utilizing them.

I know. I hope Darmain soon will be ready to take in more responsibility and duty.

The others, well, Paloschi I'm sure will integrate.
It isn't much. As you said, we're not utilizing them..yet. Still...think of 3 years back? We didn't even had them back then. It's a step forward.

The others are playing on loan, which is good. If they're good, they'll integrate fast, like our past players did.

3 Years ago we had Marzoratti, Donadel and Donati (to name a few) - two of which have been rumoured to be coming back and Lino was a highly promising defender and Italy youth player. Donati was bought for millions of pounds so must of had some sort of potential, but was never used

Donati's Celtic career started off fairly well, but they have so many CMs he's finding it hard to get a game.

Donadel never made it. Did he even got a single appearance for Milan? 3 years ago is 2006. In 2006 we all knew Donati is a failiure. So that leaves us only to Marzorati.
