The Milan derby will be shown live on BBC3 on February 15, as David Beckham’s Rossoneri take on Jose Mourinho’s Inter.

The BBC announced it was giving over its evening to the big game at San Siro, which kicks off at 19.30 UK time.

It is a great opportunity for British-based fans of Italian football to see a live encounter between two of the biggest clubs in Europe.

BBC3 is available on Freeview, Sky and other cable and satellite operators.

I have to say, if anyone can find a stream of the FSC coversage the quality is generally very good.

I've only seen one Milan game on FSC to be honest, I generally use it for Villa away games and find it very good (in terms of picture quality), I just mute or ignore the commentators if they're being dicks.

Excuse me who's Rossoneri? See I was under the impression that a) Paolo Maldini was the captain and b ) Carlo Ancelotti was the coach and c) no player was bigger that the club it's self.

See this is why I don't like him...sorry if that offended anyone in anyway...I just couldn't hold that back.

Moral of the story, Ro Rossonera: Never use 'a) b ) c)' etc, or you'll end up with this cool.gif smiley. Always use '1) 2) 3)' and so on and so forth. I'm the emoticon guy, I know.
Ro Rossonera
Yeah I figured that out...that's why I put a space between b and ) tongue.gif
kurtsimonw
The reason they said Beckham/Jose is because they have a profile over here and BBC is English.. it'd hardly appeal to people over here if it was "Maldini's Milan vs Zanetti's Inter" or something.
Ro Rossonera
Yeah, I understand that I guess I just am a little irritated with everything Beckham right now...sorry

Exactly, the same way it's Kaka's Milan in Brazil, or Kaladze's Milan in Georgia. wink.gif But I can understand you, you have your reasons. There have been times when media has gone out of line with the whole Beckham thing, and to be brutally frank, that's uncalled for.

Exactly. I'm just grateful that I will be able to watch it live on tv, hopefully if we can sign Becks then our profile will be raised over here and I will be able to see more games on tv cool.gif

One thing that's really positive about Beckham playing for Milan is that the club (and Serie A as a whole) is getting more coverage in the English media. Because of that, it's by relation getting more coverage here (keep in mind that Fox Soccer Channel is Sky Sports' redheaded American stepchild). They even devote 30 minutes of the 2 hour call in show to Serie A - and they talk about it seriously rather than the 'Italians are corrupt, the league sucks, etc' litany we've gotten for the past few years.

Good point. I think if Beckham does sign for Milan permanently, we'll get coverage next season. Maybe even on BBC, which is far superior to Five. Afterall, we even got that MLS roundup show hosted by Tim Lovejoy went over to the states, so I'm sure we'll get something Serie A related.

I never knew FSC was Sky Sports. Beckham will pretty much give Milan more coverage all over the World, which is fantastic since we're from all over the World here on MF!

Im pretty happy that BBC are showing it, although im gonna need to a find someone with BBC3 (hell a TV first) at uni.

BBC commentators arent that bad usually, but i suspect there may be some pro Milan sentiments due to Beckham

Hopefully Beckham (and Milan) don't disappoint in this game...

3-1 to one of the teams. tongue.gif

The match will be boring, the best players will underperform and Serie A will be labeled a crappy league.

Ha yeah. It will be like one of those old Chelsea-Liverpool matches. biggrin.gif

Or it's going to be a thrilling game with a spectacular turnaround (in favor of Milan) and many great individual performances but Serie A is still going to be labeled a crappy league and Beckham the only ray of light in it.
Jack Sparrow
Shame on you. What of Seedorf then huh? Black power b!tch!!
