It's not about being wound up, I just hate it when teams like United are handed a game over a silver platter. In all reality City would have won this should they had 11 men for the 90 minutes, United have just been that bad lately.
I didn't watch the second half but I'm glad that City showed what they're made of and made it as hard as possible on United. They played with 10 men for 80 minutes yet they still nearly got away with it. Too bad the game was ruined
Nah, simply put you have a hatred of United. I'm not saying you shouldn't, that's your opinion, that's for you to decide. Though it's becoming glaringly obvious you do, either that or you just want United to fail so miserably this whole season just so you can continue to say "Well, I told you so, I told you so".
You seem to put it across as fact, as oppose an opinion that City would have won, even though United were 1-0 up at the time. Factual evidence concludes United come back after disappointments, especially in big games over the past couple of decades under the guidance of Ferguson for a start. Though, obviously City are a far more stern test nowadays due to their financial powers.
They had 2 bad games, against Blackburn they were pretty unlucky, Newcastle they were completely outplayed. City were also without a big, big piece of their make-up in Yaya Toure, who whilst not as glamorous and flashy as Silva, Aguero, Balotelli etc plays a big part in underlining City's success of recent times.
United had a stone-wall penalty at 3-1, which would have given a great opportunity to make it 4-1 and put it to bed too. So in some ways the 3-2 scoreline is just as deceiving in favour of City and them "nearly getting away with it".
The end of the day the red-card is right to the letter of the law. It can't really be denied, the thing is there are plenty of us in our lifetimes who used to see this happen 4/5 times a game and it wasn't even a foul, let alone a red-card. I'm 22, and I've seen that development, so it's not something 50/60 year olds alone can talk about.
It's just modern football I'm afraid, these sort of tackles are being outlawed, and it will be a trend of sending-offs for these sorts of offences. I've seen it happen a number of times in the past few years in England, resulting in red cards, just as it's United it gets blown up out of proportion. I mean do you judge the severity of the tackle by the resulting injury? As that's where it's getting to a little with this debate.
