The Olympics lasted 2 weeks and he got a knock. That could be just a coincidence. He did survive more then 2 weeks with Milan as well.

2 weeks...? TWO WEEKS?! realmad.gif

He joined the Brazil camp at least a week or 10 days before the start of the Olympics, right? for the preparations and all.

He was with them, trained and played during the Olympics from 26 July to 11 August . that's about 16 days. (and correct me if I'm wrong but he didn't pick up that knock during the Olympics but before it in a friendly)

He remained with them played another friendly after the Olympics against Sweden on August 15 in which he scored a brace.

That's about A MONTH not TWO WEEKS!

All this while he never had any of this muscular problem and looked in really good shape.

Then what happens? comes back to Milan and gets injured after, what, 4 days. just what do you mean "He did survive more then 2 weeks with Milan as well." ?!?! do you mean to kid me?! he doesn't last more than a few days with Milan anymore. and his injury keeps getting prolonged for no apparent reason. the idiots at MilanLab are literally coming up with a new update on his injury every few days and it's never good news!! that doesn't happen like this at any other club. this is a joke and it's only happening at Milan to this ridiculous extent!

It can't get any more obvious. believe what you want but while Pato is injury prone, he's in no way as wrecked as this. the Brazil example is always there to prove you wrong.

I don't get it, wasn't he just injured again and you posted it a few days ago??

I don't know man, I'm just posting what I read from the various sites. The link I posted yesterday said that Pato had suffered an injury on his left thigh, the 21st since his arrival at Milan, and woud be out for another month. However, what I read today on Sportmediaset says that Pato took part in some of the training with the team today and is on his way to recovery. huh.gif
Rossoneri7
Well Im glad to hear he is on his way to full recovery. About time!!

But who do you believe at this point? The report that says he's out for another month or the one that says he'll be back as planned (which is what I think mediaset mean when they say he's on his way to recovery)?
X-Offender
It's hard to believe anything about Pato nowadays. Better just wait for his actual recovery then rely on rumors.
William405
Allegri said he'll rejoin the squad after the match against Zenit. He also said that Pato might play a few games for the primavera before that date.
X-Offender
Allegri on Milan Channel: "Pato? He trained a bit with the team, he should join the group next week. We'll see if we'll play him in some friendly match or with the Primavera".

My guess is we won't see Pato till 20 October, after the national teams break.
X-Offender
Damn William, you beat me to it. thumbup.gif
acid911
I'll see him when I see him. sleep.gif Pato and his injuries are worth betting some money on!

Won't change much.

AC Milan communicates that Robinho has suffered a muscular injury on the right thigh. The player will undergo further examinations after 10 days.
Zed.D
I don't know whether I should laugh or cry...
X-Offender
Thank god it's Robinho and not El Shaarawy or Pato, although the same thing could happen to them too... soon.
Fillipo Simone
He's useless, so it won't be noticed anyway.
drucurl
People overrate his poor finishing. I dare say Robinho contributes more to the attack than anyone else.

Also Grazie $h!tlegri....another muscle injury....yeah it's all the players' fault and Milan Lab. Your training regime is impeccable king.gif

More to the attack then anyone else? How? Maybe in his first season, but nowadays no one is talking about finishing - he's not even making attempts or is able to create.
han2503
Well that's just great! Another muscle injury!

Yup. The guy's not good at anything anymore. If Santos came knocking on our door and offered €9 million again, I'd sell him on the spot. That and Boateng for €20 million and we'd have a nice budget in January to spend on Strootman and Nani, although I personally would go for the new senstation that is that Armenian guy.
d'Arc.LP
Luca Antonini will be sidelined for the next 2 weeks after sustaining an injury to his left thigh in the match against Genoa.
X-Offender
I wouldn't mind if he stayed out a little longer.

AC Milan News ‏@Milanello
Muntari suffered a minor muscular injury during yesterday's training, so he won't be available for tomorrow's match vs. Chievo.

Lol, wasn't Muntari already injured? So this is an injury overlap? Too hilarious! At least it keeps him away longer from the pitch which is a good thing

Anyone know what the situation with Prince is?

He's fully recovered.

Then he should definately start over Urby with Bojan on the wing. See this is why I can't stand Allegri. He has better options yet he insists with the ones he wants

After 15 days there will be performed a new examination. I'm guessing one month of stop.

Bonera out for a month. I suppose it's good news?

It isn't technically a bad news this time around, so I guess that counts for something. sleep.gif Besides, if the injury is not serious (or hurtful) it's a win-win for most parties - Bonera is going to enjoy some free time, we can enjoy some sense and sensibility during games, and a guy named Zapata can enjoy his chance.

And no, I won't say it's good news. I was never happy for someone getting injured, not even for the atrocious Bonera.

It's not about being happy, it's about if it's either good or bad for the team. And I'd say Bonera out is good.

Just because Bonera is out, doesn't automatically mean Zapata will play instead. Seems like Allegri doesn't like him too much.

It's called schadenfreude - and I try to avoid it. I know your rationalization is fair, but it's really only a rationalization.

Who does he like exactly?...
Jack Sparrow
The thing is I've seen coaches often play an 'inferior' (in terms of skill) player just because the player is far more experienced and more likely to implement the game plan than the skilful one. It's very common in Italy especially.

Rarely you have a player like Paolo or Sandro who are brilliant players and can play the teamgame at the same time.

And I guess this is where Bonera comes in. He is a very classical Italian defender .The problem of course is Bonera functions best as one person in a unified defensive unit where he can perform very well indeed. If Bonera were to be paired with a peak-level Nesta or even Silva it would be a different proposition.

At the moment, the whole team is disorganized and in shambles and what we need is a really great defender who can cover the cracks. Bonera can't do that.

I'm sorry for Bonera being hurt, but this is good news for us on a technical level. now if Allegri still refuses to play Zapata and opts for an inferior version of Bonera (Acerbi) then... I don't know. or if he plays the 36yo Yepes "every 3 days" (to quote his words), he's a complete hypocrite. we'll see.

Yes, we'll see, but considering his track record I wouldn't be surprised to see the latter 2 options you put forward

MilanNews reports that one between Zapata and Acerbi might be sold in January. I understand why they'd want to get rid of Hitler Jr, but Zapata? Has he really been that bad? Cause as far as I can tell, he's been our most consistent CB for that much time he's played.

How can Zapata be sold if he's on loan? rolleyes.gif

Maybe sold is a bad expression. But rather leave.

I don't know. I really think Zapata deserves a fair chance.
