Nearly won £27 on a £3 bet today. All I needed was Fiorentina to win and they fucked up!

Yeah, that was unexpected. May I ask, what other games did you play?

Napoli looked awful. Really all kinds of terrible. Yet they won away from home, without their best player, that's what good teams do.

Bunch of fools. They've had plenty of chances to catch Juve and even surpass them, yet they've failed every single one of them.

Good thing the ref took away any chance of that happening...

Do you think that was a straight red?

Don't know he did go in strongly but it wasn't 2 footed or from the back.

Two footed tackle legs up hes lucky he didnt break the guys foot , deserved red. Glik lost Torino the game stupid moment for him needless challenge needless. Torino looked good Darmian looked good.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UqxQhMi7Ku0

Giampiero Ventura feels Torino “embarrassed Juventus, but the game ended after Kamil Glik’s red card.”

That's a red, no doubt.

Come on han. Your bias against them is getting so ridiculous its impossible to take you seriously regarding anything to do with them. Absolutely a red card without any question.
Fillipo Simone
Yeah, surely red for me too.

Paloschi with a hat-trick in the first half against Genoa. Did we sell him permanently?
kurtsimonw
Loan according to wiki.
Fillipo Simone
To think the kid is 22 but still played with Maldini, Nesta, Pirlo, Rino, Ambro and the others under Ancelotti...

I'd give him a shot. It's not that we have superstars lined up in this position.

I'd play him over Pazzini. He would be a good back up to have.

Watching Inter-Palermo, what an awful match. Palermo are just crap, but Inter have been horrible as well. It's like they completely switched off after beating Juventus.

That's why I was asking if it was a red... Didn't say that it wasn't. I only looked at it once and from the angle I saw it it only nlooked bad because he went in so powerfully into the tackle.

And I don't think the fact that the ref steps in to help them when they're struggling is about me being biased either. They were given a penalty as well. Look at all the offside goals they've been given this season that alone says it all.

Sure we had an offside goal given as well on Friday but the ref made sure that we weren't given what we should have as well to even out the decision.

Nah, the tackle looked a bit too brutal to say it wasn't a straight red, just didn't know if he went in with 2 feet or not so I was asking what people thought wink.gif

No problem, I know I have a bit of a rep here with Juve and all but I'm not blind either tongue.gif

Just noticed Gila needs 2 goals to pas Crespo and 5 goals to pass Pippo on the all-time Serie A scoring list. Not bad for a mediocre player.

I just can't believe Zanetti. runs almost half the length of the pitch with the ball in the 87th minute like a 20 odd year old.

FT. Inter win. Napoli created so little, and their goal was offside.

Napoli choke when it matters. Which is why I'm still hopeful for 3rd
kurtsimonw
Problem is Napoli would beat pretty much everyone you expect them too, they overpower the lesser teams going forward. I can see them picking up around 70 points and after our start we'll do well to get that. If we continue as we are throughout the rest of the season it's possible though.

If we do get 3rd, is this still a failure by Allegri? Because there's no way we're the 3rd best team on paper.

Of course not. 3rd place is the maximum we can achieve, and if we do, then kudos to Allegri.

Napoli are inconsistant though, they lose points against the smaller sides as well. Sure on a good day they run riot against the small teams, but imo, they're not going to even challenge Juve because they can't handle the pressure when it matters in the big games and they also lose points when they really need to win even against the smaller sides.

We'll see what happens. But if we manage it it's still no thanks to Allegri who's at fault for losing as many points as he's responsible for winning at this point. The man should be on his knees kissing El Shaarawy's @ss 24/7 at this point because if that kid had not come through for us he'd have been fired a long time ago.

As for teams on paper. I think Inter and Juve are the only ones who are clearly better than us at this point. Napoli have Hamsik and Cavani, we have SES, Prince, Monto, Mexes, Pato (on paper wink.gif), Robinho, De Jong, Abate, etc. All imo are better then their counter parts at Napoli. Our problems have nothing to do with the squad on paper though, so it's pointless to talk about it as in reality and on the pitch, Napoli are miles ahead right now

That's a little unfair han. Yes, he's made lots of mistakes but at the moment I have to say we seem to have turned a corner. We can't say he got lucky riding off Ibra and Silva, and now find another player as the sole reason why he's doing well.

In that case, there is no coach involved is there? Sacchi had the Dutch Trio and Baresi. Same with Fabio. Marcelo Lippi has his Juve stars. Mourinho had well..all those stars he had and has. Pep had Messi and that brilliant mid-field etc.

If Allegri makes it to CL and if by some miracle we also reach the quarters, then it's mission accomplished in my book.

I'll not like his style of play or the way he deals with players, but he did his job.

What's unfair is that I have to look at his face every week, THAT'S unfair. Me criticising him is 100% fair considering the mess he's made of things for us.

And as for your arguments, there's a way of winning and a way of winning. Allegri's way has always been to rely on individuals, are you telling me Ibra didn't win us COUNTLESS games while he was here? Are you telling me that SES isn't responsible for AT LEAST half the points we've acquired so far this season? What's the difference between Allegri and those guys you mentioned (which btw, is an absolute SIN to be talking about within the same context as our noob of a coach) is that no matter how many stars they had at their disposal, they had teams that played like actual teams, their teams had an IDENTITY, their teams had a CLEAR tactical gameplan which one could easily identify and say, "That's a Mourinho team, or a Lippi team, etc". Do you see anything close to any of those things with Allegri?

We've turned a corner not because of some master tactical plan from Allegri, he basically tried every formation from the FIFA formations list and stuck to the one that won more than 1 game in a row. We've also turned a corner because he's so UTTERLY SH!T at leading his players, inspiring them, giving them motivation; that Silvio had to step in himself. We've turned a corner because our schedule has been a bit light these last few rounds and SES is still (thankfully) delivering.

If we get third, I'll know for a fact that these players we have are good enough for as a basis to build on in the future. Guys like Nocerino, Boateng, Mexes, Abate, De Sciglio, Montolivo, they produced the results good enough to lead us to our desired spot. As for Allegri. What should I commend him for? For waisting the first 3 months of the season changing every possible combination of players one could think of? For making certain players feel like sh!t while others like kings? I don't think so. The only thing I'll feel happy about when it partains to Allegri is when we see the back side of him on his way out, because that will be a great day for this club
