2 or 3 doesn't really matter. A long as we have a CL spot, this season won't be a complete disaster.
Too bad Napoli are such crap under pressure, I really don't wanna see juve celebrate again dry.gif

Does 3rd have to play qualifiers? I'd rather avoid that in an ideal world.

That's right, because of the Uefa coefficient Italy only has 2 direct qualifications spots now, and I agree I prefer 2nd.

Napoli were absolutely awful. All Serie A teams aside from Juve are very inconsistent. The chances of us making 3rd place are very real at this point. Hopefully Inter and Lazio lose their games tonight and tomorrow.

IIRC, they also lost their Serie A game after they beat Chelsea 3-0 in the group stages.

Yeah, wasn't that against us?

Napoli are bunch of chokers.

Like I said, Juve simply have zero competition for this title.

Viola play great football. we look like shite in comparison.

If we fail to beat even this Inter then we're just so sad.

Inter ohmy.gif ohmy.gif

Sooo bad tonight!

We'll most likely make the biggest meal ever out the game against them next week. We're not much better.

Fiorentina look great when everything ticks rights for them. Montella is another coach I'd gladly welcome, has a very distinct style
Zed.D
I hope that fat pr!ck (cASSano) is enjoying this. also the lack of CL football next season.

I'd still trade him back with Pazzini before even batting an eye.

Especially now with Balo, we could really use someone like Cassano up front

Come on, we're better than THIS Inter. are you watching the goals they're conceding left and right? absolutely clueless defending. we may not have a rock solid defense but with our best back four playing, we're much better. and Milito won't be there, so I'm not really worried about that game. as I said, we must be really pathetic if we fail to beat Inter.

Technically, yes, I'd take someone with his quality for sure even if it was a nutcase. but other than that, he can go **** himself. I couldn't stand him a second at Milan anymore.

4-1

Cassano. great goal! he shut me up! but it's nice that he couldn't celebrate like a monkey.

I only said we're not much better. The last time we played a team similar to Fiorentina (Roma) we were absolutely trashed. So laughing at Inter because they're struggling is a bit hypocritical in my view considering we've been struggling all season

Yes at this point I'd say we're better, not because our squad is better but we've got a slight bit more defensive cohesion, the tactical play though is basically on the sam level of pass pass pass with no plan of how to convert the pointless passing into good attacking moves.

So I absolutely would not be in the least bit surprised if we cannot summon enough decent play to win that one, or to even lose it like we did the first tie against 10 men FFS!

If we could get Montella and Jovetic I'd do it in an instant to piss off Juve in addition to their quality.

Some really nice Serie A goals here from this term:

Fiorentina was awesome last night. I noticed their no 10 was very good at passing the ball, getting a closer look realized it was Aquilani. Just imagine if we had in our AM position.

boateng -- montolivo -- nocerino

------------aquilani

we would certainly challenge Juve. His backheel pass for the 3rd goal was brilliant. king.gif

PS: I would love to hav Montella as our coach. he certainly would be better than allegri dry.gif

Aquilani. sad.gif Don't even know what to say. I was of the view that if we had to get Montolivo, we absolutely had to keep Aquilani in our team. The guy was even willing to take a pay cut, and Liverpool were giving him on cheap. A combination of him and Montolivo would have solved a lot of our creativity problems.

Both these players are slightly above average, but combined they can (almost) become a world-class AM.

Marek Hamsik has released a statement after he was mugged on his way back from Napoli's match with Sampdoria on Sunday.

The Slovakian international was forced to hand over his watch at gunpoint yesterday evening, and has admitted that he is disappointed at the alarming regularity of these types of incidents.

"I'm really unhappy about what happened after the match,” a statement read on the club's official website.

“It's the third time that it's happened to me since I've been here.

"I'm really sorry that these kind of things happen but unfortunately it is one of the hardships of living in Napoli."

Move to Milan, we won't mug you as much smile.gif

By the way, all the Italian teams that played in Europe last week (Juve, Napoli, Inter, Lazio) lost their Serie A games this weekend.

AT least Inter have Cluj on Thursday so we don't have an excuse when we meet them!

I really think from here on it's up to us to keep 3rd and maybe even challange for 2nd which would be an over-achievement. But with the tough schedule coming up, this one of the real tests of this season.

Napoli had a 0-0 vs Sampdoria but your point still stands. That (lack of europe) was one of the biggest reasons (along with our injuries and ref blunders) why Juve won the league last season.

Conte's in the stands tonight. Maybe it's got to do with the fact that he coached Siena in the past.

It all depends on the head-to-head ties. We'll see how those go before jumping to conlusions at this point. The results going our way is a huge boost though

I just noticed, Inter play Cluj on Thursday, and the derby's on Saturday. That's rather unfair for them.

EDIT: Never mind, the derby's on Sunday. biggrin.gif

Totti's goal against Juve was his 224th in Serie A and he is only now one goal shy of breaking the all time record held by our very own Gunnar Nordahl.

WOW, Siena beat Lazio 3-0? that's ridiculous.

The results of our rivals couldn't have been any better for us in the past 6-7 matchdays or so.
