Player ratings range wildly from paper to paper and from country to country.
Gazzetta generally has the most reliable ratings in Italy and they're the ones I go by -- for online ratings, I like those of datasport.
Ratings (and anything else) from goal.com I tend to ignore as useless. English papers...well, with respect to Kurt and Ash and the other Englishmen on the board, tend to not be very favorable toward Italian clubs and most are little more than gossip rags.
Like you said, the rating range from paper to paper, that does not neccissarily mean that one is more right then the other, it's a person's personal oppinion of how each player performed. That does not make it a fact even if one came from Gazzetta and the other cam from The Sun.
Problem is that UEFA screwed up their page so you can't go through the history of wins and view match reports/stats of each match the winner played. So I can't really find who was voted MoTM
