Merkel seems to be holding his own, so far. Pretty remarkable for someone who mostly played with the Berretti last year.
1-1 FT. Decent game overall. Abbiati, Nesta, Flamini and Pato were highlights for me. Strasser and Merkel did well when they came on.

No dawdling about which is practically what Rino did for the whole game.
Merkel looked good on the ball bar one give away,would definitely like to see more youngsters get game time for the Lyon match.
