No...nothing doing this Jan. I don't think Dzeko is coming this Jan either...unless we're offered Dzeko cutprice, because he's cup tied.

This Jan: Adiyiah + Beckham.

Summer is very complicated, I don't want to get into it now. But there are so many unresolved issues.

For starters we don't know how good: Gooch, Di Gennaro, Paloschi, Adiyiah, Darmian, Albertazzi are. Until we do, we might be making a mistake signing 'unnecessary cover'.

I'm with Bluey. We should get Dzeko. I think there are few players in the world who are young and can do what he does. And I think he's good enough to warrant a change in tactics. You can search for Dzeko all goals 2009 on youtube.

Is he better than Pato? I'm not interested. Can he complement Pato? Hell yes!!! Both of them can run, both of them can dribble (Pato slightly better) and Dzeko is a big guy with technique.

And having Dzeko + Borriello would work great against bus parking teams. Big mobile target men are rare in today's football and as and when available we should snap them up. If nothing, they'll net a profit when you sell them.

and this is our fundamental problem. We also have Zigoni and Baretta, who are very highly rated. Zigoni is probably one of the top youth strikers in europe.

Therefore, if we buy players....whats going to happen to these guys?

Thats is why we were reluctant in the market last year. We expected Abate to slot to RB or RW and perform and he's done so. We'd expected Di Gennaro to replace seedorf and perform, and injuries have gotten in the way of that. We now have Adiyiah who can replace Ronaldinho or pato. We also have Darmian returning from loan next year, Albertazzi who is probably one of the greatest 17 year old CB in the world and finally we have Paloschi who needs no intro.

Very difficult decisions to make. Sell kids in co-owns or permanent deals and buy established players? Or take the risk on the kids and save money.

Dzeko: "Milan are in constant contact with the Wolfsburg"
08.12.2009 18.46 by Alessandro Barge Article read 785 times
Source: milannews.it

Agent Dzeko, Irfan Redzepagic, interviewed by the Daily Telegraph revealed that Wolfsburg is in contact with AC Milan since last summer: "The contacts between Milan and Wolfsburg go back until the last season." The prosecutor confirmed that the player will not move before in June: "At the moment there are no conditions for a transfer. The player has a contract with Wolfsburg and when can I exclude a transfer in January." No Manchester United or Arsenal for the moment, therefore, for the Bosnian striker, who, in June, expects only Milan.

edit:

In my previous post I said we would recieve around 10 million. That is incorrect. An article on Milannews.it says that we have recieved 20 million for going to knockout round.

So perhaps we might be getting another player or we might save it for Dzeko come summer.

News:

It seems the list for Dzeko has grown quite large.

Juve have offered 25 million plus Tiago.

Inter are interested and would be willing to pay the 30 million tag.

Manu and Arsenal are also interested.

Man city already had a bid declined by Dzeko.

This is getting crazy, I hope we act soon (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

News:

Also Berlu recently said that he doesn't know what the outcome of the gattuso case will be but he hopes he stays.

Abate is now the Target

Arab City (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) are keeping a close eye on AC Milan full-back Ignazio Abate with a view to making a January move, according to a report from the daily camel.

Mark Hughes, is reportedly interested in acquiring a defender in the January transfer window as he makes preparations to implement his new formation, the 4-0-6.

The 23-year-old is a versatile defender who can also play in midfield. He is currently on the fringes of the Italian national squad, having already played for his country at Under-21 level and in the Olympics. But Lippi is retarted and is too stubborn to give this young players a chance.

A right-sided, pacy player, Abate's arrival would surely pose questions about the future of the overrated and overpaid big time flop Micah Richards.

There is no indication yet as to the potential size of the fee involved, But you know its going to be large, arab city splash the cash baby!

I was being sarcastic. I reckon Micah Richards means as much to Man City as Abate does to us. He's their Santon. Their best hopes of getting an NT player.

Naah...I don't rate Micah Richards. If they offered anything greater than 30 million, I would consider it though. Abate is already 23 and while good, I don't see anything to suggest future world player of the year.

Capello should be sacked immediately if he calls Richards upto the England squad. He looked very promising, he had all the raw talent when he was 17/18, but instead of trying to improve, he just added as much muscle as he could to his body. He still hasn't improved his footballing ability at all.

(Wayne Bridge and Shaun Wright Phillips also play for Citeh, so I don't think Richards is their best chance of an England player.)

Oh yes...I'd forgotten about SWP and Bridge. Well Richards is in with the most opportunity...there is a big hole at RB for them...and he has so much potential....i daresay he'd do much better in Man U with SAF's direction.

I personally don't see why everyone wants Dzeko so desperately. Yes, he's a very good player, excellent striker. But I wouldn't even say that he's without a doubt the best striker in the Bundesliga. I've seen him in many games (live and on TV) and don't doubt his class. But he won't be Milans saviour like some here claim. He will add options to our attack, true. But I agree with tennie that our problems in midfield are much more severe.
Also, about those youtube-clips. They're as meaningful as car ads.

My point exactly. The Invincibles and The Immortals neither had 'saviours'. What they had was un-F@ckin-believable options...and for me Dzeko is one of them.

We should stop thinking in terms of the magic component who will make our whole team click, and instead find the magic team composition, which will ensure we keep winning.

I agree FB cannot wait. However on the CM, I think Dzeko would remove that need. I'm against buying a CM as a stop gap. I'd rather we wait till a top class one is available.

In my view it's ten times better and more important to have options in midfield, where we have none.
