Ah dang, I was just in Miami today, too bad I didn't see them in the airport or something. In other news, Dwayne Wade was on my flight out of my home city, for those who know who that is.

No actually, Wade was leaving SC. He must've been partying in downtown Charleston (my city) last night. My bet is he was heading back to Miami to start some negotiation talks to see whether or not he is going to play for them or Chicago.

Dont know if it's already posted here, but a few months ago i saw a GREAT documentary/biogrophy of this champion. It's really worth it. I got a torrent of it so for the ones who are interested, contact me.

It's in Italian with English subtitles. It was made in 2003 so not his whole carreer is in it. Still very much a must-see!

And you slipped him a $20 for me and told him to go back to Chicago, right?

It's obvious they want o get us back for Ibra

It's kind of satisfying to know that we irk them so much that they would go to such lengths

Problem is we're first and they probably will end up doing just as well as they did for the first part of the season even if they brought in a former Milan player, director and coach to try and irritate us while Ibra has been the most important piece to our puzzle for being first

Just because they succeeded to hire Leo doesn't mean the stupid press can start making BS stories about them wanting Maldini as well. Moratti may be a pathetic spy, but he's not stupid.

You honestly think he's smart? I don't think so. He's not stupid, but for most of his career he was tragicomic and irrational.

Yes I read it's Leo who wants Paolo at merda. I also read that Paolo has refused directors jobs and has been critical of Silvio so it's not impossible for him to go there. I'm afraiad if he does go there I will just remember him as another player rather than the legend he is. Oh, and if he does go there perhaps we should unretire the no.3...

Yeah, that's what Gazzetta says (esp the bit about Paolo not being on the best of terms with the club). I don't want to believe he's even considering the offer from Moratti.

He play decades at this club, and he was loyal to it.I don't think he would ruin his legend because of this role.

Considering the way Paolo was treated by Galliani and Silvio after that whole thing with the ultras I wouldn't really hold it against him either, that entire episode was just disgraceful from our management, especially after the family BS they continually talk about.
Paolo was hurt a lot by it especially considering the fact that he got booed by the curva because he defended the management and their actions to the ultras to begin with, and then they turn their backs to him.
Fishdoll
Dec 27 2010, 10:41 PM
You're right that the club was dead wrong in the way they handled that whole mess. It was a disgraceful way to treat Paolo.
Even the inert fans behaved with more class (as did those of pretty much every other club in Italy and also clubs/players from other countries) than our management.
I'm getting a sense that things are thawing a bit, though. He's been at more games this season than he was last season (or at least I've seen him in the stands at more games) and he's spoken a bit more in the press.

I was thinking the same thing.
All in all - I can't see Maldini tarnishing something as prestigious as his career at Milan, and go inter just as a spite to Berlusconi & co.
I believe he is bigger than that, and if I am not mistaken he has said before that he will get involved in the club again, just not with the current management at hand.
Either way - Damn that Moratti! (...
for even trying.)

Or maybe, just maybe, not everyone thinks you're right, X-Offender. I sure don't. Was Maldini better before 2007? Sure, he was at his best as a left back but I'm willing to bet that I'm one of perhaps 3 people on this board old enough to remember him as a LB. So perhaps you may want to drop this one.

I just watched Maldini in his last two years for Milan, and I thought he was the best defender in the world.
So,saying that those were worst years makes me wonder of his play before that...
I will never know though, unless I can watch all the games he played.Or a big part of them...
