Milan made it clear that they wanted to sell Kaka. Would you stay where you're not wanted? Kaka was one of the top players around, why should he stay in that situation when an other club was making such efforts to sign him?
Milan wanted to sell him to City, Kaka rejected because he was not going to lower himself to that, no matter what money they offered. Real came calling in the summer, Milan again accepted again, Kaka got the message loud and clear and since this time it was a club that he deemed fit for himself accepted as well since Milan made it pretty clear that they needed to sell him.
