I hope they don't go for Shevchenko, if that is the asking price ! His price should have depleated after this season to something, at best, 10M pounds or so.

Ransomed? how so?
You are right. There isn't dilema at all. If you want someone for future then Pato is the answer (He'll come in January and it would take some time for him to adapt). If you want immediate impact then we need someone Sheva's colibre (not necessary him).
I think we should buy them both. Pato for seasons to come (before Chelsea or merda grab him first), and quality for next season. But the chances for that are slim.

With the Pound being worth so much more than the Euro, and prices being so high in the EPL right now it's very hard for main-land teams to out-bid an EPL team.

I buy off the net alot, I don't have a full time job and don't drive. That's the expensiveness out of the way.
I'm not a fan of him myself, I don't like it that he plays for United, and his NT scoring record is awful. BUT he's young and shows flashes of World class brilliance.
