We definitely looked like a team who were in preseason. Very sloppy on the ball. Either we used it badly or lost it easily. Even though its preseason, not a great sign when chances are this will be the midfield for matchday 1. Defensively we looked rocky as usual, some unconvincing clearances and poor defending in the final third. I've pretty much accepted at times were going to look like that defensively, just hoping we manage to grind out and not concede when these times come. If Nesta doesn't play most of the games this season, we'll probably need 2-3 goals a game to get a win.
At least Abbiati showed another impressive performance. Surely Carlo would have to be reconsidering the #1 spot, even though Kalac probably earned first crack at the job from his performances last season. I actually had confidence that he wouldn't concede, unlike when the other two are in goals and any shot on target you feel could be a threat of being in the net. Then Rino decided to test him with a perfect diving header and beat him stone cold.
Going to be an interesting game against Chelsea. There pretty much full strength and we have one forward and Kaka' just slowly regaining his fitness. Anyway can't see us winning personally, just hoping Sheva doesn't score against us. If nothing else he's in the same form he was when he left us, with the missed penalty.

It'll be interesting to see what he'd do if he did score against Milan.
I remember Rui Costa's first game against Benfica, right after he'd been transferred to Fiorentina. He scored a lovely goal (I think it was from a Batistuta assist) and then just broke down - he couldn't bear scoring against Benfica.

I still like Sehva.. but if he celebrates I'll be very disappointed. If he celebrates in a manner which suggests he regards Chelsea higher than Milan, like kissing the badge, thumping the badge, etc. I'll lose a whole tonne of respect.

^^ he wont, alot has changed since he kissed the badge after he scored against liverpool. i think the excitement of joining a new team, thinking they were going to win lots, working with abromovich, etc got to him.
i dont see the benefit of him doing something dumb like that, nothing to gain really.

If that. He played only twice so far he got something like 10 - 15 minutes against Malaysia and what h eplayed yesterday.
To be honest I don't know what he would do if he scored a goal considering how long he's been waiting to get a serious chance and actually scoring. So you never know, he might get a bit over excited

MOSCA: MATTINATA LIBERA DEDICATA AI BAMBINI BISOGNOSI

Today's training has taken place.
Kakà, Oddo, Seedorf and Ambrosini stayed at the hotel, training in the gym.
The other players did warmups and some running and stretching. Then there were ball possession drills and a practice game that only lasted 15 minutes due to a violent thunderstorm that lasted nearly an hour.
After the training, Carletto had a press conference. Here's what he said.
"I haven't decided on the starting lineup for tomorrow's game, I need to evaluate the condition of some players and I'll do that tomorrow. Flamini will certainly play and Maldini will also play a half. The answers I'm expecting are more in the defensive sector because we've got too many absences in attack to really evaluate them. The defense has alread improved - they were better against Sevilla than in the Trofeo Tim.
"In attack we've got Kaka, Pato, Seedorf and Inzaghi. I'm curious to see what the Kaka-Pato-Ronaldinho trio will do. I think they could do well. We'll see whether Dinho and Pato return after the Olympics or go directly to Brazil for Brazil World Cup qualifications. It depends on how Brazil does - if they get to the final, it's silly to make them come back to Italy, otherwise they'll come to Milanello before the qualifiers.
"Ambrosini in the center of defense? It's an emergency hypothesis. We hope in any event to have Nesta back as soon as possible.
"Sheva? It'll be an occasion to greet him, we at Milan have never forgotten him. It's the first time we'll face him as an opponent.
Flamini also spoke at the press conference: "I'm very satisfied with my initial period at Milan. I'm trying to do my best. After the little problems I've had the last few days, I'm completely fit and I'm ready to play tomorrow. For me, it's an important game because as an ex-Arsenal player a game against Chelsea is like a derby."

Why would Ronaldinho and Pato go directly to brazil for the World cup qualification? So will the world cup qualification would affect them playin in Milan?

The only thing I'll add is that the 'Ambro as centerback' idea is Galliani's, not Ancelotti's.

There's a FIFA match day in early September, at which there will be World Cup qualifying games. What Galliani is saying is that if Brazil get to the finals, for example (August 23), it's a little silly to make them fly back to Italy for ten days and then turn around and fly to Brazil for a game on Sept. 6. (Note: the other internationals on the Milan squad will also be released to play World Cup qualifiers on this day if called up).

Kaka has been ruled out of Milan’s Russian Railways Cup match with Chelsea due to suspected tendonitis.
The club released an official statement this evening confirming he would be undergoing a specialist training schedule over the next few days due to “a persistent inflammation of the left knee.”
This is causing concern because that was the knee that required surgery at the end of last season.
He pulled up during Friday’s 1-0 defeat to Sevilla, also in Moscow for the Russian Railways Cup, and was substituted.
There are reports swirling around the Brazilian media that this latest setback is much more serious than at first thought.
O Globo claim it is tendonitis and Kaka must rest for at least two weeks in order to fully recover. The Milan statement does not deny that is the case, although it tries to paint it in less dramatic terms.
It would be a disastrous blow for the Rossoneri, who already have a major striker shortage at the moment.
Marco Borriello is out for two months, Pippo Inzaghi is sidelined with muscular problems, while Ronaldinho and Alexandre Pato are at the Olympics with Brazil.
This means the only fit striker at Carlo Ancelotti’s disposal is teenager Alberto Paloschi.
Milan face Chelsea in Moscow to decide third place in the Russian Railways Cup on Sunday at 11.00 UK time.
things are not looking gud with all these injuries to our non replacable players nesta and kaka hopefully they recover in time for the start of the season

Dang this is Disastrous..Kaka is injured...We desperately need to go back into the market to buy players..We really need help..I pray it doesn' happen, but wat if pato or ronaldinho get injured then we're so screwed..I hope this injuries are sending Galliani a message...We need a striker, a CB and AM...See if we didn't sell Abate he would have been of help...Pavlyuchenko preferrably would work...I don't know why milan can't buy him..Look at inter..Immediately their players were injured...they went back into the market to find a replacement..But Milan wouldn't do so..

There's no need to think this is the apocalypse guys.

Kaka's knee is a little swollen - that's all we know. He's still coming back from surgery over the summer and isn't yet match fit. I don't think there's any reason to be too worried at this point on his status.
(A new striker would be nice right now though.)

That's cool..However, everybody always seem to be calm when ac milan players get injured...Its hard not to get injured in Serie A...However, I really don't think that our bench can make a difference compared to our first team....Look at Van de varrt...Would have been a very good signing...
