Yep, we all showed some pretty amazing knowledge.
But seriously, EPL isn't my territory. That's the League I follow the least from the Big 5.

Yes he literally picked them in the first half of the season and has been dragging them up ever since. Cagliari was looking pretty much relegation team until they changed coach. I was really curious how he would do in a small club after coaching the Italian NT and all the disappointments and humiliations that followed it, especially for his coaching career.
I still root for him! And let's not forget he is a past Milan player. Looks like he is gonna be a great "small" club coach.

Pato talks down title before their clash with Juventus
Milan’s Alexandre Pato has sidelined talk of the Scudetto after beating Napoli. “We’re just thinking about Juventus.”
The Brazilian inspired the Rossoneri to a 3-0 victory over the Azzurri at the Meazza this evening with a sparkling individual second half display.
Although the victory saw them move five points clear of Inter and six ahead of Napoli, Pato is not getting overly excited.
“We’re not thinking about the Scudetto,” said the Brazilian who won a penalty, set up the second and slotted home the third. “We’re focused on our next game against Juventus.”
The two giants meet on Saturday night in Turin in a tie that Milan will start as favourites, especially given Juve’s woeful form.
“I like playing in this team,” Pato continued. “There are great champions here, but they are not teammates, they are my brothers.
“I’m happy that we played a great game.
“I always want to play, but the Coach makes the decisions which he thinks are best for the team and I know I have to work hard.”
Pato started the game at a very wet Meazza alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Robinho. Antonio Cassano remained on the bench throughout.

Moratti: 'Inter fans are the real Milan'
President Massimo Moratti declared Inter “want to win everything all over again” and took a sideswipe at rivals Milan.
The patron picked up the Ambrogino d’Oro award from the city of Milan after lifting the Champions League, Scudetto, Club World Cup, Italian Super Cup and Coppa Italia in 2010.
“I want to thank everyone, starting from the people of the city that were close to us so we could win everything and want to win everything all over again.
“Therefore, this award will be for Leonardo,” smiled Moratti. “I am proud of what the team has achieved, filling us with joy.
“I’d like to underline the great professionalism of all the players, who allowed us to lift these trophies and grow together with the city and the fans. We’ll see you again next year.”
Moratti also took a sideswipe at local rivals Milan, especially after Inter were criticised for rarely fielding Italian players.
“Our victories are good for us and the city of Milan. Traditionally, we have more roots in the city compared to the Rossoneri.
“The Nerazzurri fans have always been considered the ‘real’ people of Milan.”
Asked whether Jose Mourinho would return after a tough time at Real Madrid, the President was reticent.
“I doubt they’ll get rid of him within the next five years, so there’s a long while to wait.”

That's a good thing.
Birmingham and Man City say the same too, it's just the smaller club trying to make themself feel relavent by making up rubbish.
It's just Moratti's inferiority complex coming to head again. Let him make himself look like an idiot.

You can't make that comparison, kurt. especially when the club in question has won more scudetti than us. not to mention more derby wins. we may have won more international trophies but truth is that there's no way they're to us what Man City and Birmingham are to United and Villa...

Well Zeddie, reading your post one would think it's an obvious difference. In fact, Milan won 70 and Inter 71 derby matches (Serie A, Coppa, Champions League) and Milan has 27 domestic trophies while Inter has 29. So, it's pretty much even.

Mar 3 2011, 02:37 PM
Your last sentence > exactly my point: these two clubs are roughly on par. Milan are the more successful club, but not by a huge margin.
As for derbies, I wouldn't count friendlies such as TIM as real derbies. only Serie A, CL and Coppa derbies matter to me.

Well, I didn't count them in. If we do, we're in clear advantage. If not, it's 70-71.

Before Calciopoli, Inter had won 13 scudetti, 2 European Cups more than four decades ago and 3 UEFA Cups. They've been Italy's mockery in the last 20 years, always overshadowed by the giants that were Milan and Juventus. It was only due to the Calciopoli aftermath that they managed to rebuild their team into a competitive one. We can't compare 5 years of trophies to more than a century of glory.

I get your point, but I can't agree.
The number of trophies is somewhat irrelevant. As X-Off said, in the past few decades they've been a bit of a joke, they've undoubtedly been inferior to us and Juve. That small time mentality sticks with teams regardless of what they acheive. If they were to continue to dominate for a long time and have continued success in Europe, we may develop a bit of an inferiority complex, but I doubt it.
Birminghams cup win is an example. First thing they chant after winning it? '**** on the Villa',, because we are all they think about.

it's the same with Inter. I don't read about B&G talk much about Inter to be honest, yet Moratti won't shut up about us. It's like they've constantly got to insult us to make themselves feel better. Milan really don't need to do that, there's also that small matter called 'class'..

Genoa could have easily snatched a point when they were leading, if they didn't leave prairies for Inter to counterattack and didn't commit such foolish defensive mistakes. Eduardo with a howler once again.
That said, Inter's attacking power is quite substantial. They play a much better football than us. But defensively, we're miles better.

Hmh, not sure. Allegri isn't exactly a coach who could either motivate us to start strong and play offensive or tune in a fin strategy. It's more likely we'll play a defensive match.
