I don't think were being told everything about our current financial situation. If we truly have no money why would silvio talk as if we had a choice on who to purchase?? Something seems fishy forsure...

At least two of those rumors come from a halfway reliable source: the Pato and Dzeko stories (and part of the 'who's leaving' story) come from Mediaset.

I find the Chelsea want Pato stories very unbelievable.
Carlo gave me the feeling that he wasn't all that fond of Pato while he was here, he usually was very happy to drop Pato the moment Pippo was fit to play, and usually liked to give him sub starts when we were losing.
I just find it highly unlikely that Carlo would want to bring him to Chelsea when he barely even played him when he had him at Milan.
I think the press just make the easy connection because Pato is hot property atm along with Aguero and he was a player that Carlo coached while at Milan
I agree that it's probably a media invention, the 'Carlo wants Pato' thing, especially after the recent comments made by Ancelotti (a month or two ago, talking rather negatively about Pato) in the press. That said, it is on Mediaset's site.

Agreed, he always used to put him down whenever he had a bad game, yet others like Seedorf who usually had 9 out 10 games which were bad got nothing but praise and a guaranteed spot on the team
