Their fans want Ronaldinho to be sold. They booed him few times this year. With Henry, Eto'o, 2 kids and especially Messi, they don't really need him.

Have a friend who follows Barca very well (just as much as we follow Milan tongue.gif , if not more biggrin.gif ) ..... Anyways, he told me that Ronaldinho is still the best in the world, but he doesn't want to play for Barca anymore!!! He wants to leave.

I think that is clear ... Giovanni and Bojan are good, but they are no Ronaldinho ... Messi is a REAL talent, but he lacks Ronaldinho's experience. I mean, he is #1 when he feels like it. Cant wait till the day comes that Clarence takes off the #10 shirt smile.gif I think he will solve many of our problems.

It's no secret I hate Barca... but the way they play, dribbles, passings, etc, is just unique. damn, I wish Milan could play this way sometimes...

It's just his opinion or your friend is Ronaldinho's friend? smile.gif

Ronaldinho is not the same player he used too be two years ago (for whatever reason). Messi is the best player in Spain, the new king and future of Barca. Barca's management knows that now is the time to cash in on Ronaldinho. Not only they will make the team stronger with the money from his sale but also the environment in Barca's dressing room will be much better (his ego clashes with Eto'o). It's a win-win situation for Barca.

Now, whether he can come back to his good form in the new club (wheter it's Milan or Chelsea), plus to leave his big ego at Barca, is remains to be seen cuz you don't really know the reason (even though you want to believe it's because he doesn't want to play for Barca anymore).

I'd be surprised if they won though. I've seen about 10 games of Barcelona this season and in all of them, Messi was 80% of their game!

Both Eto'o and probably Henry are back from injuries. And, in general, their game is so fluent so even with dos Santos or Ronaldinho in Messi's place, they still can produce. And of course Barca's players will be super motivated at Camp nou and it's not like Madrid are playing that good...

Well, a real good friend of Ronaldinho biggrin.gif tongue.gif

U got my point, right unsure.gif

I mean, a player of such quality, such experience, and such talent ... Surely he didn't loose all that while over-sleeping wink.gif .... He still got it smile.gif

You can never loose something you gained. I mean, If Ronaldinho at 90% of his potential is the best in the world. At 50% he'd still be a brilliant player.

Anyways, as you said, it is yet to be seen.

I'm not saying he lost it (he should be in his peak age wise). I'm saying that his problems might be not mostly related to football. I don't think he's not playing at his best since WC just because he wants to leave Barca...
Rossoneri7
U also got a point ... I'm not saying that u don't, misha ... just that I have believe it to be this way. For so long now.

And IMO, I believe Ronaldinho has won everything FOR Barca singlehandedly. Messi, Giovanni, Bojan, and Henry are yet to win something for Barca. But what Ronaldinho did for Barca is something of merit.

Anyways ... As u said, it is yet to be seen biggrin.gif

Barcelona would have gone nowhere without Deco. He was as important for them as was Ronaldinho. But yeah he doesn't do tricks and he doesn't smile for the cameras so who cares about him? I'm not blaming you, it has always been this way for defensive players!

Koeman Sticks The Boot Into Cañizares And Albelda

Ronald Koeman has told Santiago Cañizares and David Albelda that they will not play in the last two games before Christmas and could be dropped for the rest of the season.

The Dutchman wants to make changes to the Valencia side, but the news that he is preparing to outcast two veteran stars has caused a stir at Mestalla.

According to Spanish news agency EFE, the duo have been told that they will not participate in the Copa del Rey game in midweek or the final league gae of the year at the weekend.

"With respect to everyone and to Cañizares and Albelda, I have explained everything to them," Koeman said.

"We have decided that they will not be in the squad. They will not play in the next two games and then we shall see about the future.

"These are strong decisions that we have to take for the good of Valencia and that is most important.

"I want to change things and give opportunities to other players."

Valencia are in free-fall at the moment and the defeat against Barça saw them break the club record for the longest run without scoring a goal, which is now over six matches.

Changes were required, but when Koeman was asked about Cañizreas good form in recent games, he bluntly asked if people remembered the game against Racing Santander.

The goalkeeper and the Albelda still have 18 months and two-and-a-half years left on their contracts respectively, but could not be off-loaded in the summer.

When asked whether he felt that the decision could cause problems in the dressing room at the club, Koeman was not concerned.

"It could do," he said. There will be people that criticise me and people that agree with me, but I have to accept that and keep working.

"I am working on my own plans and that is to change things. Only the future will decide if I have made a mistake or not."

Koeman's an @ss. The only person needing to be dropped is him.

Real: We don’t need Kaka
Wednesday 19 December, 2007

The President of Real Madrid may have been chasing Kaka for over a year, but he now claims the Milan man wouldn’t even get into their side.

“I might appear arrogant, but Kaka would perhaps not get a starting shirt in the current Real Madrid team,” Ramon Calderon astonishingly insisted.

“The side is very complete as it is today and it would be extremely difficult to make it even better.”

Calderon’s statement is somewhat surprising given that Kaka is widely recognised as the best player on the planet.

He helped the Rossoneri win the Champions League last season and has this month been handed the Golden Ball and named as the FIFA World Player of the Year.

It is also somewhat ironic given that the Spanish chief built his successful 2006 Presidential campaign with the promise of signing Kaka if he was elected Real No 1.

Kaka, still just 25-years-old, has been made non transferable by Milan who are expected to hand him a contract extension until 2012 or 2013 at the end of the season.

Real are currently four points clear of closest rivals Barcelona in the Spanish championship ahead of this weekend’s Nou Camp encounter between the two.

Super club in Spain? Everybody knows it's Real Madrid. By far the biggest.

If you talk about the team, and the squad nowadays... then maybe Barcelona has a chance. But as a club, history, titles, prestige (arrogance too), nº of fans? Madrid is the #1 in the world.

But if you want we can compare their trophies:

R.Madrid - 31 Leagues + 9 Champions L.
Barcelona - 18 Leagues + 2 Champions L.

If you add... more fans (the #1 worldwide), more money, more revenue... you can easily see that they are the true superclub in Spain.

And even as a team/squad... I don't think the Madrid one is inferior to the one in Catalonia.

Porty is right. They might be arrogant, nasty and annoying but they are much bigger than Barcelona!

But there's one thing I always respected Barcelona for and that's the no sponsor on the shirt rule! No other team in the world can boast about that... (too bad Bilbao were forced to break it)
