Great move and and even grater finish from Baptista! Even crappy players have some good moments...
Is there some referee illness plaguing the football world!?? What on earth is going on with these guys, are they really so bad or are they trying to attract attention

Ronaldinho proved once again that he's exactly what we don't need!! STAY. AWAY!!
Rijkaard lost the game...
So... only the EPL and the CL (and Bundesliga for those who watch it) left to entertain us for the rest of the season... damn it, two leagues ruined in a single day!

R.Madrid proved today that they're by far the best team in Spain and probably in Europe right now (maybe Inter can match them).
S.Ramos, Baptista (in the midfield, like he did in Sevilla), Diarra... what a performance.
Pepe, he's worth every cent Madrid paid. Simply brilliant.
Well. All the team was top.
Now, there's a 7 point gap between Madrid and all the other teams. 100% deserved.

For beating a mediocre Barcelona? I'm saying they're, along with Inter, the best team in Europe for 2 months. And a match in Camp Nou is always a match vs. 14... (Barcelona didn't lose for the League at home for 34 consecutive matches - about 2 years).
But it has nothing to do with this match. This was just the confirmation.

I haven't seen more than a couple of Madrid games in La Liga but I watched all 6 of their CL group stage games and judging from that I'd say they are not even among the 5 best teams in Europe! The reason why I'm placing them right next to Inter and United is because they're 7 points clear off Barcelona in the title race, even if it's been a far-from-impressive Barcelona...

Marca and all the other papers consider him the best in Camp Nou. He is really a top-defender, with 24 yo.

Agreed, I rate him very highly.
Portugal will have a very good squad at Euro2008. I think all they need is a great striker, a finisher. Pauleta, Gomes and Postiga aren't quite good enough for that.

Of course I credit them for breaking that record! But you're doing the opposite of what I am doing, you are praising them way too much! I mean... we've all seen Barcelona play this season and it's more than obvious that Messi is their driving force. With Messi gone, Barcelona can't function you saw that yourself yesterday... In any case, what I am saying is this win does make Real "the best in team in Europe by far" just like a defeat would not make them any worse than they are...
PS Fantastic display by Pepe!

I think Madrid outplayed Barca ... They deserved the win and they deserved to win by more than a goal difference.
At the same time, I think Rijkaard f***ed up by taking Deco off. Cuz once he did that, he disturbed the balance of the team. And Barca played from the back heel since that substitution.
