Milan started the galatico concept with Silvio's money..and now Milan want to get out of that style. Obviously coz we can't compete anymore, but let's see. Somehow I want to have faith in this project. I also have a lot of hope on Dzeko. He might be a real find. Similarly I remember Galli saying Di Gennaro was much more talented than Paloschi.

king.gif Rino. I can already hear han loading guns on Ambro. Though in his defence poor man will probably be signing is last contract.

Favalli extends. cool.gif That settles it, once he retires he's coming to the Milan backroom staff. Good move. You're not given the title of 'Professor' just like that.

I don't understand how you could have faith in a project that involves, buying our own players bac for twice the money we got in the co-ownership deals, selling our best players, keeping the duds that earns as much as the best players on the team, renewing with old useless players like Favalli and Ambro, and not making any serious moves in the transfer marker accept for buying our own Primavera players, its just ridiculous what Milan has been reduced to because Berlusconi has no interest anymore in spending. And Milan have never adapted any golacticos philosphy, in the past 2 good players a season were bought and not because they had the fame of Ronaldo and Beckham but because they were true world class players that would actually make the team better. This is how any big club should be run, and if Silvio cannot handle that he should step out and leave the club be, because at this rate he's burning it right to the ground.

Yes I'm proud of Rino and even more disgusted by Ambro's insistance on hiking up an already more then high wage that in reality he does not deserve. We should put him on the transfer list once and for all. Give him and Seedorf to Napoli plus cash in exchange for Hamsik. I don't care but do not renew his contract and on top of that give him a ridiculously high wage when you're continuously complaining about your finances rolleyes.gif

And Favalli renewing his contract puke.gif How ambitious can you be when you're renewing this guy's contract instead of looking for a good defender to take Maldini's place. This when your defence is beyond horrible. Let's not kid ourselves here, Nesta? He's not back, and he never will be after the injury he's had. You watch, he'll be out the entire season because of his back and we'll be forced to play with the uselessly slow, error prone Favalli and untested Thiago Silva for all of next season. Wow we're so ambitious its about to bring tears to my eyes rolleyes.gif
Zed.D
They've renewed with Favalli because they're not going to buy any more 'defenders' (that means, rookie defenders don't count - real defender). expect Favalli to start in at least 15-20 games next season as well...

Bah, great. Dzeko is staying at Wolfsburg, apparently he couldn't persuade them to sell him.
Now, our next target is unfortunately Adebayor or Fabiano. I think instead of looking for striker right now we should switch into searching for CB, LB and AM.

After the information that Edin Dzeko said he remains in Wolfsburg, Germany from where the water negotiations, arrived denial.

"Stay in Wolfsburg," said Sky Sports alleged statement Edina Dzeko, after last night to start negotiations between BiH and representatives managers of Wolfsburg, who are "diamonds" offered two versions of the contract.

However, this is not true, because the negotiations with player and manager Irfan Redžapagića and leaders Wolfsburg still endure, and nothing is still not precisely agreed.

"At this time, yet nothing is completed. Negotiations with Wolfsburg still endure and this is at this point, we have the meeting, "said Irfan Redžepagić for SportSport.ba and allegedly commented Džekinu statement according to which the representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina said that remains in Wolfsburg.

"I believe that they appeared much speculation, as was the case up to now. Edin that he could not say anything yet because we have not agreed. As I said, we are still at the meeting and will be available during the day, "he added Redžepagić for SportSport.ba.

Obviously Rino does have a brain. Lower his salary, to allow Ambro's to be pushed up, they'll then be earning what they're worth. Good stuff.

Obviously Rino does have a brain. Lower his salary, to allow Ambro's to be pushed up, they'll then be earning what they're worth. Good stuff.

If that were true Ambro would be earning the weekly salary of a ball boy.

I'm actually stunned that anyone would want this guy to be captain when he's making these sorts of demands from the club he supposedly loves. He should be accepting a lesser wage, with Flamini and Rino fit next season its obvious who will be sitting on the bench 95% of the time. He doesn't deserve half what he's earning now, concidering the ammount of playing time he'll be putting in, his overall level as a footballer which is bordering on mediocre and his age.

It's obvious that he's looking for one last big pay day before he retires. And its sickening to see the club give him that ammount when they're constantly moanin about not having any money. And even concidering selling Pirlo, who is 10 times the player Ambro will ever dream to be.
kurtsimonw
Ambro may not be the most talented player on earth, but neither is Rino. Gattuso, in my opinion, has hardly had a good performance since the 2006 World Cup, the samee goes for a number of our players (Pirlo and Zambrotta to name 2), at least Ambro has displayed a level of consistancy. I have friends with great fitness and they can tackle, why don't they earn what Gattuso does? He can't do anything else. Funny how you mention Ambro doesn't play often. He nearly scored as many goals as Rno played games last season. laugh.gif

Loyal players are rewarded. Players that want to **** off back to Rangers should be tossed aside.

Alot of talk of Eto'o to Man City on Sky today, alot of people reckon it's done, which will make him the best paid player in the World. blink.gif

I don't see how its a reward when he is the one asking for th raise rolleyes.gif

At least Rino was at the 2006 World Cup and every other major tournament Italy has been in, same thing can't be said of Ambrosini... smile.gif

It's really funny that your only argument over the Rino vs Ambro discussion is that Ambro scores goals, which would matter, had they been strikers or offensive midfielders... And the only consistancy Ambro has shown throughout his Milan carreer is that he's constantly either injured or playing at a mediocre level. That is why when Gattuso is fit he is the one that gets picked and not Ambro.

And its really low to compare last season when Rino was out injured for most of it. If that were the case we should compare all the seasons Ambro was out injured to the ones Rino actually helped Milan in winning things...

I'm only going to comment to these 2 things now since I'm surprised you even mentioned it. Low? You were making fun of Ambro's lack of appearances.. you do realise 99% of the time he doesn't play it's because he's injured? Yet I mention Rino being injured and not playing and it's 'low'?

ALso, the goals comment was nothing to do with Rino's inability to score, more to show how little he actually played.

Oh, Ambro was injured for nearly the whole season and we finished 5th, go figure.

Oh, Ambro was injured for nearly the whole season and we finished 5th, go figure.

99% of the time when Ambro didn't play was when Rino is fit and there is no room for him in the midfield 3. It's only when Seedorf was pushed up next to Kaka that Ambro was starting regularly again. And I never remembered making 'fun' of Ambro being injured. In fact I was commenting on who Carlo chose when both were fit and there was only room for 1 of them.

Which is again down to injuries, not the fact that Ambro was picked over him or he was dropped. Like I said, if we're going to look at injuries and how much time each player spent injured then Rino would have no competition as Ambro more then trumps him in that area...

Ambro has been mostly injury free for the past 3 seasons little niggling injuries aside he's been one of the most consistantly fit players on the team for the past 3 years. So I don't understand how he was injured when we made it 5th, infact Ambro had more appearances that season then Rino did... So you do the math...

Dzeko, Adebayor, Oliviera.. when are we going to look at actually replacing Sheva with a great player? All of these players never really consistantly scored alot of goals in a top league. Dzeko has only had 1 season, Oliviera only had 1 prolific season before we signed him and Adebayor has only had one prolific season so far.. we'll never get anywhere lke this.

My biggest worry if what you said is true is that we might hope to land Dzeko on a free, and therefore we'd not buy anyone. Perhaps even talk about Dzeko being a new signing. sad.gif

Me saying we should release them was to exaggerate how much I want to see Milan get rid of these free loading players that we have.

I'm sure mid table teams in any league would jump at the chance of getting Seedorf, Kaladze, Ambro and Dida. We're not going to get a lot out of them but at least they'll be off our wage bill. Like I said, if we got rid of these players instead of selling Pirlo for 20m, we'd still recover that money from the wage bill which would be lowered considerably...

Honestly, "freeloading" is a complete misnomer. You make it sound like all they did week after week was sit on the bench and do nothing.

And let's quit worrying about "our wage bill" since the money is not coming out of our pockets. This whole thing is not as black and white as it seems; if Milan were so concerned about their wage situation, Kaka would've been sold in January and not at a 40% loss to Madrid six months later.

What an idiot. Why can't he say his name, is he from Russia or something and he just finds it difficult to pronouce?

It's almost as if this club has given up now for some reason. Maybe we should sign some more French players, they're good at the whole giving up thing.

Well most of them do... Had Abbiati not been injured for the last couple of games, Dida would have stayed on that bench, simple as that. Seedorf? He might play every week but he does more harm then good. Kaladze? What did he do aside from cost us a ouple of goals at the beginning of the season and then being injured for the rest of it? If you think these players are working for what they earn then...

Yes, its not my money but they are turning Milan into a mid table team because of it. So of course I care what they're doing. So if they're so concerned about it, why keep the rotten fruit in the team? Just does not make any sense.

And it was later revealed that Man City only offered up to 50m for Kaka, there was never a 100m bid on the table...

"We know Džeko position on the Milan and we know that the contract related to Wolfsburg until 2011. year. At the club to decide whether to sell or not. In the world of buying and selling patience has its price and we are willing to wait another 48 hours to see what will happen. After that, you do not manage to realize this transfer, we turned to other options, "said Galliani to Sky Sports.

And at the end of the day, they are the ones who can burn it down just as fast as they built it.

You can say 60m + 25m all you want but what gaurantees do you have that that will be spent on new players. Galliani has already said that a chunk of the Kaka money was used to clear our financial problems.

If we are really going to build a young better team, why are we getting rid of our youngest players and keeping our old ones? The old ones that get high wages btw and are no good for this team.

The management have been making mistakes for years now and Milan is paying dearly for it. And my complaining might not be heard but so what? This is a forum, if we're all going to come here and type Forza Milan in every post then what is the point of it all to begin with?

I'm sorry but I don't recall anyone here making fun of the club, mostly its complaints about the guys that are running it.

And of those 5 players bought Milan lost money because they are paying 3 times what they got in the co-ownership deal. They are losing money over players they previously owned. And seriously can you tell me which one of those players is actually good enough to start for Milan and actually replace Kaka?? Its rediculous to think that we're going to make any progress with these types of transfers.

And last time I checked I don't see any of that Kaka moeny being spent, oh right we'll probably over pay for a waste of space dud like Adebayour and give Arsene Wenger 35m while he goes out and gets Benzema rolleyes.gif Yeah real smart management we've got here.

If it was couple of mistakes then fine, but the mistake is on going. The management is not good enough anymore and are harming Milan. If I were not a real fan like you're implying then I wouldn't mind what they're doing and go over to the Inter forum and make fun of what Milan has now been turned into

I think we should go for Huntelaar if the Dzeko move fails. He is good, he is Dutch and his team apparently want to sell him so even with Galliani's skills nowadays we won't end up paying too much for him.
