I'm going to criticize a bad source if I see one, whoever posts it. Because blindly believing everything that's printed is not necessarily very productive. Using a little basic analysis on who's more likely correct in what they say will probably help people get a clearer picture of what's going on.

Okay fair enough, then I expect then that the posts pointed at me with aka ( ) will stop and it will be a general view regarding the source?

Well, every time there's a discussion started considering the validity of souces, one should consider using his knowledge of paleography and especially diplomatics, that's what my professor always says...

OHHHH i see. See i'm still a first year so my professors only talk about sex and what we did on the weekend cool.gif

But you must know I dont filter out sources or articles. I post everything, everyday. Any news regarding this team, is posted by me. The filtering i believe is the people's choice and not mine.
Tennie
Then be prepared for comments that articles are unreliable and not worthy of further discussion. smile.gif

One source that IS generally reliable for Milan news is Mediaset. It's based in Milan and is owned by the Berlusconi family.

On Mediaset's website today there's an interview with Borriello, who stated that he has started running again and hopes to be available the last few games of the season. This is something I'd consider reliable. (Especially since the interview was given to a journalist who is one of perhaps 5 people not named Berlusconi who have stock in AC Milan).

Thats good news. But i'm just going to drop it, there is no point continuing this useless arguement. If you want to say a source is valid or not is your choice. I will still post everything everyday. smile.gif
Tennie
Everything every day? Gosh. That's a lot. Do be sure, by the way, to check and see if someone else has already posted the information (as is sometimes the case with the time delay stuff that shows up on sites like goal). CMF is the fastest of us all in pulling bits of news of the morning wires. There's no need to repeat his good work.
whoarethepatriots
Gazzetta is a fairly reliable source for Milan related news i would say, considering it is Milan based

I hate the right wing English newspapers with a passion and everything they print is purely sensationalist and in some cases just plain wrong on so many different levels. However Its great fun reading it from an entertainment point of view
gal_kenny
I really missed Borriello...I think that if he wasn't injured him and Pato could've posed a very dangerous threat in Serie A as well as Uefa Cup..Get well sooner that later...pls
Tennie
+1, kenny. I agree - he and Pato have the potential to form a dangerous partnership. Would be great to see him back. I think it'd be even greater to see Nesta back, but...for that, I can only hope.
MizNelson
Blue, I'm not trying to pick on you, but you really have a habit of getting overly defensive whenever someone questions what you have to say, i.e., the whole Sun debate, and it then mushrooms into an unnecessarily drawn-out discussion.

For the record, I think The Sun is an absolutely crap source that isn't worth what you or I deposit in the toilet. But you then fall into the trap of thinking that such a reply is directed at you personally. It really isn't worth getting in a tizzy over every time.

Interesting soundbyte from Galliani on his way into today's Lega Calcio meeting (courtesy of tuttomercatoweb):

QUOTE

["I'll say it officially: Leonardo won't be Milan's coach, but next year will remain a director." These are the words of Adriano Galliani, who as he arrived at the Lega in Milan seeked to put an end to voices that called for the Brazilian to take over as head coach for Carlo Ancelotti next year. The AD of Milan also shot down the possible arrival of Fabio Cannavaro from Real Madrid: "You're telling me that a 35 year old defender in his waning years..."]

Fillipo Simone
What?
il_diavolo_mtl
i read that Frey is probably going to leave the Viola, and Milan is an interested buyer. I think this makes sense as we have looked at Lloris/Boruc/Marchetti and other keepers to start at Milan with the aging keepers we have now
Tennie
tuttomercatoweb did have something about someone paying his recission fee - so if it's him he won't be cheap. Still, he's a good keeper.
il_diavolo_mtl
i rate him number 2 in the world after casillas and before Ceasar so OH baby would he be worth it smile.gif
MizNelson
Frey is very good, but he's not really in the class of a Casillas or even JCesar.

I think about four people were surprised that Leonardo wasn't ever going to be Milan's coach. It wouldn't have worked in a million years.
il_diavolo_mtl
i think frey is amazing nd the only reson ceasar and cassillas get more attention is because of the teams they play on are alot more dominant

Well, Madrid hasn't been anything near dominant this season, but I see your point.

Santacroce (/Mexes) may not be Serie A's best CB but he's an improvement over Kaladze, Senderos, and maybe an always unavailable Nesta.

We're not in a position to reject these defenders when some of our own defenders suck. sure, if we had a healthy Nesta and a 35yo Maldini, signing these kids wouldn't have made sense, but now...

The more u see he's overated the more he's better than all our defenders cuz he really is

I want our squad to be like this next season with some players added if i'm missing something

Goal Keeper: Abbiatti, Marchetti, Dida

Defender: Zambrotta, Mattioni, Antonini, Bonera, Nesta, Thiago Silva, Kaladze (play only wen someone's injured)
Santacroce, Jankulovski, Maxwell

Midfield: Abate, Gourcuff, pirlo, seedorf (I guess he's not going until milan wins champions league like he said, wat a joke), Gattuso, Flamini, Strasser, Cardaccio

Attacking Midfield: Ronaldinho, Kaka, Viudez (He should be given his chance cuz i think he could explode too)

Attack: Pato, Borriello, Keirrison/Rossi, Inzaghi

Getting Eto'o seems unrealistic n plus Rossi plays the Messi like way which could be a plus for us
chrismcb
Not been on for a while but I think the suggestions of getting Adebayor are ridiculous. He's abysmal and only scores goals against poor teams.

I also think we should get rid of Seedorf (he's been poor for several seasons) and we should get Yoann Gourcuff. If you don't want to replace Seedorf replace Ronaldinho as he's been pretty ineffective this season. I don't undersatnd why people want Abate back as well and I think we should give Paloschi a try and build for the future.

As for a keeper, I don't know much about this but we should go for cheap quality, I like Asenjo for Valladolid but I don't know if he could step up to Champions League level.

I'd like to see the rumours of Agger coming to Milan come true as he's quality and if we got the oppurtunity to get him on a free. I don't think we should get Mexes but instead look at younger Italian players.

I also think if Kaka went it wouldn't be awful although I think he's amazing. He's a great player but with the funds we'd be able to buy Fabregas or Eto'o.

Starting XI for next season (Presuming Kaka stays):

Abbiati
Zambrotta-Agger-Evans-Jank/Maxwell
Flamini-Pirlo-Gattuso
Kaka-Gourcuff
Pato/Paloschi

kurtsimonw
There's as much chance of me playing for Milan next season as Evans, United won't sell him. Agger would be nice though.
chrismcb
The reason I said Evans was that he's not signed new deal?

he needs to stay at napoli a little longer, though there is NO chance Donadoni will let him go unless we break the bank. Napoli can chalange into the top 5 next season, and dropping your best defender.

he Is overatted but still very much an upgrade, he is what Milan needs : an assertive chalanging CB with good offensive upside (though i'd prefer Agger smile.gif )

Evans=no way
Agger doesn't fit the stay behind style of Rafa, He and Thiaguninho Could WRECK people and generate some Offense smile.gif

If you are to disagree with my view, think how much our CBs challange right now...

When he was busted for DUI last week, he said he'd had only one beer before getting behind the wheel. That was also probably Carlo's excuse for fielding Seedorf against Napoli.

Barcelona and AC Milan target, Palmeiras forward Keirrison has declared: "Milan's interest is understandable, but I don't want to leave Palmeiras at the moment".

Agger: "Contract? There's time"

"I have a lot of time ahead, because my contract does not expire at the end of season, therefore it would be stupid to run." The Liverpool defender Daniel Agger (24) prefers a renewal of contract with the Reds than move to another club. An attitude that want to be malicious, it could also be a docile wink to other clubs: "I have never hidden the fact that I would like to play abroad someday, but I enjoy playing for this club too."

Marchetti rules out Milan move

Cagliari goalkeeper Federico Marchetti has been one of the standout performers in Italy this season, catching the eye of Milan scouts. However, the player himself has denied the possibility that he will join the Rossoneri.

"I'm going to Milan? No, I'm staying here. I have a four-year contract and I will continue to wear this kit," he stated at an event called 'Lo stadio dei bambini' at an elementary school in Sardinia, according to Datasport.

"I owe everything to Cagliari. Let's just finish this year in the best way possible. The newspapers write so many things, but I have not communicated anything."

Marchetti has been a major factor in the Sardinian's successful season so far as they currently sit in seventh position in the table.

"We expect to do well in the final nine matches. We will see what we can do. We respect everyone, but fear no one, because we have already shown that we can play as well as the big teams," he concluded.

The 26-year-old is currently on loan at Cagliari from Albinoleffe, but the island side will exercise their option to buy him outright for €1.25 million at the end of the campaign.

oh? You don't want to play in the champions league? That is very odd.

JeanLouis Triaud: "We want to retain Gourcuff, but he will choose"

High-flying Girondins de Bordeaux are already planning their summer transfer charge, despite still battling for the Ligue 1 title with Olympique Lyonnais and a host of other clubs.

Laurent Blanc’s men have made it their priority to keep Yoann Gourcuff, who is currently on loan at the club from Milan, but they have also been linked with moves for Portsmouth forward John Utaka as well as Le Mans goalkeeper Yohann Pele.

Bordeaux’s most pressing concern is over Yoann Gourcuff; the French international star currently on loan at the club from Milan. Last summer a deal was signed that means if the Aquitaine club pay Milan €13 million and the player agrees, the burgeoning midfielder will be theirs. “The coach wants to keep him, as do the leaders,” president Jean-Louis Triaud explained to Aujourd'hui Sport. “The majority shareholders of the club have said that they will help us achieve our goals.

“The World Cup is happening [next summer] and we [France] will probably qualify. He will probably be selected so now is not the best time to change clubs.

“There are plenty of arguments for Bordeaux; we have many advantages for Gourcuff.”

Adding depth to the offensive sector is another priority for les Girondins, who are chasing out-of-favour Portsmouth man John Utaka. “It has been suggested,” the Bordeaux president conceded. “I am amazed that he is only 27. No decision has been taken but I know Utaka wants to return to France.”

Bordeaux’s final aim is to find a replacement for aging goalkeeper Ulrich Rame. Yohann Pele, Le Mans’ No. 1, has been linked with many top clubs, including Bordeaux. When quizzed about the rumours les Girondins’ president simply stated, “We have not made a proposal.”

In addition Laurent Blanc's side have also been linked with Mexico goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa by Football365.

Bordeaux are clearly aiming to work quickly when the season is over to assemble their squad for next term’s campaign, be it in the Champions League, Europa League or not in Europe at all.

I hope they don't break the bank for him. sad.gif comon yoann, carlo will be gone soon. come home boy come home.

Adriano To Milan Is Not A Possibility - Agent

Earlier on Thursday, Goal.com reported that Adriano had made statements regarding his future, suggesting he is uncertain whether he will renew his contract with Inter that expires in June 2010.

The Brazilian's agent, Gilmar Rinaldi, claims he does not know if Adriano will leave the club, but insists that it will not move to city-rivals AC Milan.

"In these past few days I have spoken to Adriano, but not about his future," he told Telelombardia.

"Fifteen days ago I spoke to Inter and now we are waiting. In Italy, the media say many things, but none of the are new. Something with Milan? It doesn't exist."

The 27-year-old has been in and out of the line-up this season, at times finding himself in coach Jose Mourinho's doghouse due to his tendency to party into the night and show up late for training. Overall, he has scored seven times in 22 appearances.

Thank you, we dont need him. We need a WC soccer player, not a WC discotheque dancer.
