I'm telling you, we're going to sign Panucci, Meterazzi, Fontana and Henry. We don't go for ex-greats like Trezeguet.
Il Capitano
Now that some of you have made a wish list. I would like make my own list.

out

Dida (He can be a starter in a semi big team, he should not waste his remaining years on the bench)
Emerson
Sheva
Senderos
Maldini (retiring)
Favalli (It's time to give way for the younger players.)
Darmian (Loan only)
Oddo
Cardachio (loan)

IN

Marchetti (Is young and can give Abbiati good competition or Even take that starting place.)

Mexes/Agger/Kjaer/Santacroce/Zapata (Santacroce & Zapata can used as CB and RB if needed)

Romano Perticone (Is a vital part of Serie B's best defence and is from our youth team)

Zuniga/Urby Emanuelson (If Zuniga is bought Zambrotta can play as LB and Janku should be moved to the midfield. If Emanuelson is bought Zambrotta can reamins as RB and Urby can be LB)

Abate (I wanted him to be a part of this years squad but that did not happen. Abate should definitely be called back next season.)

Gourcuff (Only if Carlo is not the coach next year. Don't think Carlo can bring out the best of Yoann.)

Kuzmanovic/Aqualani/Hamsyk

I think we really need a target player besides Borriello but I don't know who we should buy.

Our team got plenty of experience. If we combine that experience with young players that are hungry for succes we can be a winning team again. We should stop buying players that won everything. They will have problem finding motivation for when facing weaker teams.

I dunno, Hab. Fishdoll adores Trez - when he's taking penalties for the other team. biggrin.gif

biggrin.gif ya that was sweet revenge for euro 2000
Darunia
Say we sign Maxwell/other LB and push Jankulovski into the midfield, what would our potential lineup look like?

Possibly something like this ???

Abbiati
Zambrotta CB Thiago LB
Flamini Pirlo Jankulovski
Kaka
Pato Borriello
Habitant
personally i just dont think janku should be a starting 11 player, a sub for LB and Lm would be a good role for him.

My online buddy said that he saw Carletto watch Arsenal vs Hull City last night on TV, is that true ??
If it's true, does anyone know what the purpose ??

*maybe a barter between Yoann with Fabregas ??
gal_kenny

Sadly enough, I can't see Sheva leaving.

I never saw van Basten play, I was too young. But I find some players from the past are often over-rated and because you can't compare to players around now, people will just say they were nowhere near as good as *past players name here*. I was watching the Madrid-Frankfurt European Cup final the other day, the quality of football was quite embarassing really.

You mean the final of 1960? Of course football was totally different back then. But I don't think it has anything to do with the individual skills of the players. It's just that the sport itself was much less fast as it is nowadays.

I can see Sheva retiring.

Galliani said this tho “We absolutely won't be signing a new goalkeeper for next year. Nelson Dida and Zeljko Kalac won us the Champions League and the World Club Cup so we will wait for Christian Abbiati to recover with those two between the posts.”
Tennie
Yes, but it's transfer stuff. smile.gif Galliani speaks in code about transfers (in other words, it's never wise to take him literally when transfer discussions are being made). The categorical denial half makes me think they're for sure going to get a keeper.
Tennie
For what it's worth, milannews seems to think the Cruz deal is looking like it may just happen. He'd come to the red-and-black half of Milan on a free.

I rebuke that....i wish he doesn't come..What is with milan and old players? WTF? Milan's management are mad people...Sign Keirrison and get this old signing **** ova with
Tennie
I haven't seen enough of Keirrison to know if he'd be any good so can't comment. The kneejerk 'old players all suck, we must sign teenagers' thing is getting a little old, though. Not all teenagers live to the potential they show and not all young transfers are successful ones (ie, Grimi). Not a big fan of Cruz because he plays for the cugini, but he's a very effective striker.

Well that is why we are where we are today...refusing to bring in youth...Now we need more youth than old players...Cruz is alright but he's a temporary replacement..we need for the future...Keirrison is very very talented..Fast and very clinical in scoring goals..even more clinical than pato
Tennie
I think there are a lot more (and more detailed) explanations for why milan is currently not 20 points out in first than 'old players'.

Cruz IS a temporary replacement, yes. His year or two at Milan will give Paloschi time to mature nicely. smile.gif That's what I'd like to see happen.

Would prefer to see some other young players with experience in Italy brought in too - either the ones we (at least partially) own (ie, Abate) or some we don't (ie, Marchetti, Criscito). This would lessen any adjustment time to the league that the team would face if it imported players from other countries. It's taken Flamini, for example, a good 6 months to really get used to stuff here - and now he looks really good. smile.gif

If we made a temporary move for Cruz two years ago i may have been slightly happier, but the fact is that he isnt playing too well, and i get the feeling he would be Vieri mk.2 if he arrivied. I would prefer Crespo for a season than him
Habitant
^^dint crespo say milan can go fck themselves? well then he can **** my *****.

not that management have shown much integrity of late.
whoarethepatriots
To be fair i dont want any ageing strikers, not least from Inter, but if we had to absolutely choose, i would go for Crespo over the lazy Adriano and declining Cruz
Tennie
Yup. He used the V word more than once in regard to Milan.
Habitant
it's too bad i was a big fan of him when he was here.
kurtsimonw
If Crespo does have ill feelings towards Milan, it's probably because he's wounded that he's never won the CL and played in Istanbul.
Tennie
I think it was mostly because Milan didn't fight to get him back when Chelsea wanted rid of him. He wanted to return to Italy but Milan weren't interested so he went to the cugini.

I'd prefer Trez, but Cruz could be a half-decent signing. he's one of those players that look younger than they really are. in my eyes he's like a ~32yo (unlike Sheva who looks like a 35yo).

I'm sure Bobo will remain our worst transfer in the 21st century! he did nothing.. but I'm sure Cruz wouldn't disappoint if he were to join us.

I think Emo rivals Vieri in being the worst transfer of the 21st Century. At least Bobo had the good grace to leave when he realised he wasnt wanted

Bobo also gets a cookie for what he said on joining Milan from the cugini: 'Maybe now I'll actually win something.'

I'm not going to believe it yet, but.. FINALLY!! he is probably thinking to himself, enough of being the management's yes man.

I hope he is.

Report: Carlo Ancelotti Will Walk From Milan If He Is Not Granted Reinforcements

Milan general manager Adriano Galliani warned yesterday that the current economic climate will not allow the Rossoneri to splash out in the transfer market next summer. La Gazzetta dello Sport suggests that coach Carlo Ancelotti could slam the door on the club and join Real Madrid if the squad is not to be strengthened adequately.
It is suggested that the tactician has set his sights on two big signings; one to bolster his ageing defensive line and the other to add more fire power to his attack.

Chelsea central defender Alex is believed to be his primary target for the rearguard, whereas Barcelona hitman Samuel Eto’o and Arsenal star Emanuel Adebayor are the hottest names for the front line.

Ancelotti is confident that Milan would be competitive in both Italy and Europe with these two additions but he is unwilling to compromise and could resign from his position if his transfer demands are scrapped.

Should the ex-Juventus coach turn his back on the Diavoli and accept the rumoured advances from Real Madrid, technical director Leonardo is odds-on favourite to take over at Milanello.

trezeguet-seedorf swap on calciomercato

Oh my... they have nothing to write about... here's what really is going to happen: Milan, Juventus and Madrid are not happy with their squads and they've decided they're going to put all the names in a randomizer and have them mixed up!

We could end up with Buffon and Casillas or with Dudek only. We will have Chiellini and Ramos playing with us or Zebina! Isn't it amazing?

At least... since they're coming up with their own stories why don't they make it more entertaining? I'd like to read a story about Juventus making an offer of 40m for Emerson and Milan saying no... stuff like that...
