Two Teams Want Me, Admits Kaka
AC Milan’s Kaka has increased speculation that he may be on the verge of leaving AC Milan by revealing that there are two teams interested in signing him.
According to Setanta Sports, the Brazilian shunned the opportunity to deny the rumours surrounding his future and instead chose to reveal that he was unsure where he would be playing his football next season.
Speaking to the press about next season, Kaka said: “When I recover and return to Italy I will know what's going to happen, but at the moment nothing is certain.”
Recent reports have suggested that Chelsea are willing to offer Milan a world record €100 million to bring Kaka to Stamford Bridge, and the player himself admitted that he was well aware that he was a wanted man.
“There are two teams who are very interested in signing me, but now I do not want to talk about it,” said the Brazilian, before adding, “Until we return to Milan and know how things are, we cannot decide what happens with my future.”
Whilst Chelsea are undoubtedly one of the teams interested in signing Kaka it is the subject of some debate as to who the other club may be.
Real Madrid were interested in signing Kaka last summer and may still be in the hunt, especially if they were to fail in their bid to lure Cristiano Ronaldo to the Bernabeu.
Barcelona may be another club in the frame, having offloaded Deco and Ronaldinho in recent weeks, two of their most creative players, a player such as Kaka would be warmly welcomed at the Camp Nou.
Don't know how twisted his words were but I'm not worried in the slightest

Most probably the media twisted his words in several ways to come out with this conclusion.
In any way I'm not worried about Kaka, he's just signed a contract that will keep him here until he's over 30, and he's been talking about Ronaldinho joining Milan for 2 years now, wanting to play along side him. Kaka will definately not leave, especially not to an English club

Saw that, and not only do I not want him back, but why would we need another fullback?
We already have
RB: Zambrotta, Oddo, Bonera (a CB that can fill in as a RB)
LB: Janku, Favalli, Antonelli, Zambrotta (in needed to play on the left)

Actually han, I was thinking that they were looking at him more as a centerback. I dunno why they'd make an offer for him unless Berlusconi was in a 'Collect the Azzurri' mood.

Maybe, but if we were to really try to go on the market for a CB then we should actually go for one that is a natural in that position not a converted fullback. Panucci was decent in the EUROs but that's all that he was after seeing the fiasco of Matrix and Barzagli anything different would have been a step up

Still not reason enough imo. Kaka has won the CL it's not like some burning desire that he still had for example like Zidane with Juve. Kaka has everything he wants at Milan, anywhere else would be a step down and Kaka being the smart man that he is knows this and has implied this in a couple of interviews. But to lower himself to going to Chelsea would not only be a step down for him in terms of stature of the club but also in the fact that people will only see him as a money grabber like they did Sheva. Kaka is better then that imo, yes these days money talks but I think Kaka is one of the few that isn't swayed by just the money

Would never want him here, and he's not even the type of striker that would be useful to us. I would prefer the free over 30 Crespo ahead of him (btw, why hasn't anyone been mentioning Crespo? I'm pretty sure that he's not staying at Inter, I think it would be a good move on our part to bring him in. He's a player that can garauntee you a certain number of goals)

After his 'Milan vafancullo' comments last year, I'm not sure I'd want Crespo, even on a free.
This morning, there's not a whole lot to report in way of Milan-related speculation in the press. The only player really under discussion is Ignazio Abate, who is being linked with a loan to Toro or to Lecce (LOAN only, not sale).

Is it true that AC Milan is after Panucci of Roma?
Tennie
Jul 23 2008, 03:35 AM
Well, it depends on who you listen to, Panama.

The rumor came out yesterday that Milan were thinking about him and there was mention of an offer for a 2-year contract, but nothing official has been mentioned by either club. Failing more information forthcoming, I'd say it's probably just a rumor.
That said, having good cover in the CB position wouldn't be a bad idea at all. Due to his age, Panucci would by necessity be a short-term solution to this issue. He's good in the air and has shown very good form in the last year, including his play for the Azzurri. While I'd prefer a long-term buy (like, say, Giorgio Chiellini from Juve), short term might not be disastrous if the kids playing for the Italy U19s really are good. Both CBs and the LB from the U19s are Milan Primavera players.
While there are reasons (his stroppy personality in particular) to be against a possible move, I wouldn't necessarily mind seeing Panucci in a Milan jersey again, if the rumor turns out to be true. I know I'm a bit of a sentimentalist, but I continue to have tremendous respect for the very classy performance a 21-year old Panucci put in in the 94 CL final (the 4-0 thrashing of Cruyff's Barcelona).

we are being linked with Alex silve a 192 cm brazillian defender from sao paolo he has been linked with us b4 as well He is the younger brother of S.L. Benfica central defender Luisão. I think we do lack a Big CB with strong headers when stam left he could be a solution media set say we will finance him by loanin/selling abate, paloschi and simic and the reason is that nesta is injured rite now again i would like if we buy him

"We won't buy anyone, because this isn't a serious injury. Let's be calm, the player doesn't need to be operated. Really, there is no new player coming in anymore. At the moment we have six central defenders, so I don't see what the problem is. Our central defenders are Nesta, Kaladze, Maldini, Bonera, Simic, and Digao.
Favalli can play in central defence, and I think even Ambrosini could play there, so I don't see why, with at least six central defenders, we are still asked to buy players."
galliani

why dont you add me to that list?
too bad just about everyone on that list except nesta are inadequate, bonera has pretty much reached his potential and cant be counted upon to be a regular started even though he should be ahead of the "disaster on cleats" (kaladze) simic hasnt played in over a century, diago isnt even a professional football player, favalli is old enough to be a manager. it's too bad quality doesnt even come into the equation it's just just how many fingers can he count.
there have been offers for simic, sell for f sake, and kaladze would be hard to sell to a midtable club (especially in the prem) get a few bucks from that, 10-14m for both gather up a good 6m and there you have nearly 20m to spend on a quality CB to play with nesta. but hey continue with he retirement home mentality for players that wont even be remembered 5 years down the road. it's not like were really saving money here, we give ridiculous wages for extremely mediocre players.
just keep on rambling buddy.

^^ Agree with you there, F35. I'd love to see more of Darmian during the regular season. He needs to bulk up a bit, but he does seem to have good talent. Digao....I'd prefer not to see him even in the Coppa games. he just doesn't impress me.
Not related to Milan, but tuttosport has come up with something I hope is just a rumor. They're reporting that Arsenal are interested in making a bid for Giovinco and Marchisio and using Van Persie as part of the deal. With all due respect to Arsenal and Van Persie, I really hope Juve don't even consider this. (Tuttosport isn't reliable for a lot of stuff, but as a Turin paper they usually have their Juve and Toro info correct).
