While he's a decent keeper, I'd like someone a bit younger than that. Although, there's probably no truth to it. We've been linked to just about every GK and RB on earth in the last few weeks.

Yes, in the case of Dida anyway.
Abbiati revealed his zebra colors when he was loaned to Juve, which included posing for pictures with the Juve ultras.

but honestly it doesn't change my mind he's more reliable than Dida right now, his only default is that he like to hang around the penalty spot

Abbiati isnt that great. I saw him against Villareal (maybe) and he looked pretty shaky. His handling was pretty poor too. Coppola is pretty average and dosent seem better than 3rd or 2nd keeper

SourceBenzema's agent said to "marca" that he'll stay another year at Lyon to gain more experience, he wants to renew his contract, and he didn't meet with Barça's Begiristain.

Ruud Set For Milan Move?
Real Madrid forward Ruud van Nistelrooy could be set for a switch to AC Milan, according to Spanish daily Sport...
The pro-Barcelona daily states that Ruud, having conquered the Dutch, English and Spanish leagues, is eager to make his mark in Italy as his career begins to draw to a close.
And with AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi looking to secure the services of a top-notch striker, it could be a match made in heaven.
However, there are some issues here. Not only is Ruud said to be happy at the Bernabéu, but he's also recently penned a "lifetime contract" that will see his deal, which currently expires in 2010, automatically renewed if he plays 35 matches a season.
He and president Ramón Calderón were delighted to secure such a contract, and as such the prospects of his leaving seem slim.
Nonetheless, Sport claims that this agreement was made with the unspoken assumption that the player could move elsewhere if an appropriate offer came in, and a €7m deal from Milan, plus a three-year contract for the player, could well be the transfer in question.
Madrid paid Manchester United €15m for the Dutch striker, and it's hard to say that they haven't already had their money's worth. This season alone, he's hit 12 Liga goals in 21 games, and 16 in 25 matches overall.
Yet with Calderón denying that there are to be wholesale changes this summer, such a move seems unlikely, despite earlier reports that his poor fitness this season has been a little upsetting in the board room

Who are you referring to Gila or Pippo?
I think if Gila leave (and there's 70% chance that he will) RVN could be a great replacement, as for Pippo well I think we'll agree that we need a replacement for him, and in my opinion Gomez is the one, but we'll probably wait till he reaches the 30's

do we really need a big name striker signing?Considering mostly we play with 4-3-2-1 next year, wouldnt be better signing a complete CM and World Class Rb instead of a striker?Pato has been exceptional, same goes for Paloschi,i see the first times of Benzema in Paloschi,in addition he still has rooms for improvement.Pato,Paloschi,Sheva and inzaghi are enough for striker department if you ask me.Milan's problem could be side backs and in central midfield,as Seedorf is 32 years old and a player who has never been a consistent player, also considering he even doesnt have the continuity in the game,Ambrossini is good but he adds little to our game.A complete midfielder like Aquilani or Moutinho or Hamsky would provide us what we lacked in midfield, also Side backs,i think we should sign one more SB except Zambrotta as the side backs are the most important part of our game,as we need a width on the flanks to provide to Kaka spaces that he needs, also opening up the defences, even Players like Lell or Clerc are welcomed, hope to sign Bastian and Lell from Bayern, they would be a bargain.
maybe we are the only team in the world which is lacking squad deep with +27players,Frey,Mexes,Flamini,Dinho and Zambrotta are great additions but not enough,we should add at least one SB and one complete midfielder, also Scweinsteiger would be good additon, also considering his versatility.

Anyhoo, a complete midfielder takes time to develop, that's why the best ones always peek at the age of 27-30, for example Pirlo, Gerrard, Totti (for Italy). They may get to the top early (as in the case of Kaka), but they're far from a finished article until they enter the fourth decade. Their skills, strength, and experience reaches a climax.

Milan-Juve battle for Torres
Saturday 19 April, 2008
Liverpool could be forced to sell Fernando Torres – alerting Milan and Juventus – but the Rossoneri are already targeting Ruud van Nistelrooy.
The Anfield Road in-fighting between owners George Gillett and Tom Hicks is just one of their problems, as ‘The Times’ claims there is a serious financial short-fall.
“Liverpool entered into an 18-month loan agreement with interest of 9 per cent - £2.8 million a year - with a letter of credit to pay back the £31.5 million at the end of the period,†says the newspaper.
â€Should Liverpool be unable to pay back or refinance the loan, banks could force the sale of Torres and Ryan Babel, who was also included in the smaller refinancing package.â€
If hitman Torres becomes available for around £27.5m, he will be a prime target for both Juventus and Milan, who are on the lookout for a striker.
Rossoneri President Silvio Berlusconi has already stated his club will sign Ronaldinho, Andriy Shevchenko “plus an old-style centre-forward.â€
Up until now it was thought to be Chelsea’s Didier Drogba, but new reports around Europe today suggest it is Real Madrid’s van Nistelrooy.
He is relatively cheap compared to Drogba and Real would be happy to release him because they are looking to sign the Ivory Coast international as a replacement.
Milan and Juve are also said to be at loggerheads over another Premier League player, as the San Siro giants assumed they had a deal for out of contract Mathieu Flamini.
They have offered the midfielder a five-year contract worth £3.5m per season, but Juve director of sport Alessio Secco has reportedly flown out to England to table a bid of his own and, while he’s there, seek news on the Liverpool situation.
