Galliani: "De Jong's replacement? We have Muntari and Ambrosini. Montolivo can perhaps also play that position. We thought about letting Strasser leave in January, but after De Jong's injury he will definitely stay here."

So predictable rolleyes.gif

What'd I say? Galliani is so predictable in his words. maybe not so much in his actions.
X-Offender
I'd be damned if we don't actually sign someone. Honestly, thinking that Ambro and Muntari can substitute De Jong is just insane.
Fillipo Simone
I don't think it's for real. It's just Galliani's way.

But anyway - the problem is we can't sign someone quality. If a player comes in, it will be a Mesbah kind of signing, because de Jong is the DM-starter and we ain't got money to pay a second one just for the end of the season.

Well i'd be pretty open to seeing sneijder in milan, As said crybaby yes, but He is one hell of a player in his day, reason being if Chelsea went for cristiano ronaldo i'd be all for it. I still remember when inter got him and couldn't believe how good of a deal they got (originally it was thought maybe of being a loan but became a buy. (I hung around with some Real madrid fans a time ago and they spoke pretty damn highly of sneijder (aka at the time when real madrid was going uber dutch, Van nistelrooy, Drenthe, Van Der Vaart, Sneijder,Huntelaar)

I can't help but feel sorry for robinho though XD.

Mediaset claims that Milan will try to sign De Rossi: €3m loan for the rest of the season + buy-out clause set at €20m. Salary: €4.5m.

I do do like De Rossi. happy.gif Do it Galliani.
kurtsimonw
There's no way De Rossi comes here. 20m? As if we're spending that on 1 player. laugh.gif
Fillipo Simone
Why didn't we sign him for free? Anything changed with his relationship with Roma?
Jack Bauer
People should really lower their expectations.
---------

Galliani earlier today:

"De Rossi to Milan? Impossible."

"De Rossi and Sissoko? No, we will remain as we are."

"We will keep our midfielders, and De Jong will be replaced by one of own players."

"I swear that El Shaarawy will stay at Milan."
Bluesummers
yeah de rossi isn't coming, no way. We'll sign someone forsure though, but it wont be any big names.

I see one of those dutch players like clasie etc..

anyways some news:

-We are going to finalize our deal with the chinese club soon. We'll get some investment from them and some partnership bonuses, in return we'll help them establish their club, provide expterise and coaching in the view of camps, mentorship etc..

-We are after Pescara youngster Vladimir Weiss whose on loan currently and whose contract expires in june. He is a highly rated youngste.r

-Analysts say that balotelli would cost us between 20-25m but berlusconi wants a loan + buy deal and not a straight up purchase as city wants. Discussions will commence throughout this month as berlusconi does want him at milan.

-There have been several inquiries about stephan el Sharaawy. Hosts of clubs from europe are interested in him. He is currently valued at 25m but could be sold if an offer of 40+ comes. Galliani has recently said that milan will not sell him but a high bid from city or psg could change his mind.

Milan paid 10m + merkel for him.

Fillipo Simone
Clasie who?
kurtsimonw
Weiss, really!?
X-Offender
I believe we'll sign either Strootman or Nainggolan as De Jong's replacement.
Jack Sparrow
I think we won't sign anyone unless we move someone out of our current set of mid-fielders.
X-Offender
Players will be sold/loaned in January, a lot actually. It's been Galliani's leitmotif in every single interview so far. My guesses are Gabriel, Acerbi, Mesbah, Dídac, Flamini, Traoré, Carmona, Valoti, Niang and Robinho.
Fillipo Simone
Hmh - why would we sell our 3rd keeper we signed only recently?

News:

-PSV have slapped a 20m euro price tag on Kevin Strootman

-Cagliari are said to be in negotations with juventus over naingollan, but problems may arise as cagliari want 15m for him.

We will try and sign Naingollan first and use players like carmona, valoti and others to sweeten the deal. If that doesn't work, we'll try to go after strootman.

-Galliani:

“I swear, I swear, I swear that El Shaarway will stay with Milan,”

“We will keep him and make up for the absence of De Jong with those we have in the squad.”

“De Rossi and Sissoko? No, let’s stay the way we are. De Rossi is impossible.

-Lots of rumours of balo to milan today. Apparantly the board has had enough of him. city are looking for people to buy him but no one is willing to pay more than 15m. The talks of a loan + mandatory purchase might resume again if city can't find anyone whose willing to pay them. Milan had previously made an offer of a loan and 20m purchase spread over 4 years but city wanted 35m for him.

-Santos confirm Robinho talks

Santos President Luis Alvaro Ribeiro has confirmed “Robinho wants to return to Brazil and we presented a written offer” to Milan.

The reports have been swirling round for months that the striker is looking for a January move to his former club.

“Robinho wants to return to Brazil and for him that means returning to Santos,” President Luis Alvaro Ribeiro told atribuna.com.

“We have presented a written offer, though there is a difference between what the player and the club are asking for.

“It is not an easy negotiation process, but we will know the outcome next week.”

Robinho also commented on his potential return to Santos this week.

-Most brazillians sources are convinced that the offer is felipe anderson + cash for him. However, milan only want cash. Discussions will commence shortly.

Yeah, he is.

How about, since De Jong got injured, we play:

Boateng - Montolivo - Nocerino
Anderson
Bojan - El Sha

That'd be quite a dynamic line-up, supposing this Anderson dude is actually good.
Bluesummers
Apparantly braida and serginho both scouted him and they weren't convinced, thats why we just want cash.

The deal they offered was 8m plus anderson, but we want 15m
Bluesummers

if we sell robinho, he'll come in.

I give it 80% likely. Especially since city can't find anyone to sell him to and the clubs like gala, etc.. he refuses to move to. If inter or juve don't step in, i think he's ours.
Fillipo Simone
Projections again? Really?
kurtsimonw
Why do people have this misconception that City will sell for a cut price? They will absolutely not. City wanted 40m for Tevez, they got a 40m offer from Santos, but because it was in too many installments they said no. They will set a price for Balo and stick to it, that price will be something we can't afford.

City did what they did before FFP, and before they had established any reputation. Battening down on Tevez actually increased their street cred.

At this moment, they're suffering and probably feel they have holes that need plugging. But they can't fill them without releasing someone. Like the case of Adebayor and Bellamy.

My opinion though is that Dzeko will be easier to obtain than Balotelli amongst their strikers. A starting NT striker in the Euro finals for 20 million who is not injured? Sounds impossible. I think for 30 million they might pause and think about it.

But no, I don't see Balotelli here without his contract running out.

Dzeko is definitely the more likely option, but still not likely.

Very good players will always be wanted by numerous clubs. Chances are clubs that're willing to pay more of a fee + wages than we are.

Good. Anything less than €10 million shouldn't even be considered.
