I think we should start playing a typical 4-3-3, with real wingers and a dynamic midfield. Time to use Bojan regularly, and Boateng as a box-to-box mid. Since we lost De Jong, we either sign a quality DM or play Montolivo there a la Pirlo. I'd personally go with:
Boateng - Montolivo - Nocerino
Bojan - CF - El Sha
I think such a formation should be tested for a couple of games, see how it fares.

I can't be not sad for selfish reasons as a Milan fan, but I think it's the right move for him, whether he wanted it or the club got fed up and decided to let go of him. his potential has never been in question for me, I think we will see him in Europe again when he rediscovers his form and confidence again. I just hope it won't be in Italy. it'd be painful to see him at Inter or Juve or Roma or whatever.

He loves them but he didn't grew up there (came from West Ham) and it's not like he owes them something right now since they are the ones who forcing him out. I think he still have some football left before the retirement America/China move.

With both of them gone we'll be saving a tremendous amount on their wages as well. They both earn around €16 million per year (including taxes), plus €25 million from their sales, that's about €41 million for 2013.

I think he could play a #10 role in Italy. He's lost the ability to play box-to-box like when he was at his best, but he can still pass a ball and score goals. I'd take him until the end of the season and depending how he adjusts, give him another 1-year deal in the summer.

I'd feel Lampard will likely move to the USA Maybe with Red bull New York or LA galaxy, But Im keeping ethier if not the US then likely will be China or the Middle east,
Of course he's been linked with QPR but i doubt Lampard would end up there ethier.
Also bear in mind Lampard is on around 150,000 a week so again a move there would attract him more.
If Italy is to mention i remember sometime in 07/08 at the start or middle of the season he was pretty hotly in a saga with a move to Inter Milan i remember XD.

I'd take Lampard in a heartbeat.
One of the few English players that I really admire. Always keeps his head down and works hard, no backstage drama, gives his all to the team and is a great midfield player.
I think he still has a few good years of European football left in him. It would be a waste for him to go to the middle eas or US now

Illicic is a talented lad. His time at Palermo was slightly overshadowed while Pastore was there in my opinion, but he still managed to pull of some greats plays, score some really nice goals and he has some wow factor as can be seen through his displays of skill. Don't get me wrong though, Pastore is the better player without a doubt, and if I had to choose I'd pick him over Josep easily, but that's not to say he won't be a good addition to our current roster where only Montolivio is our real creative type player. I'll admit I haven't seen any of him from this season at all, so I don't know what sort of form he has been in lately, but the guy has talent which in my opinion is undeniable. Monto wasn't going through the best of times at Fiorentina after falling from grace, and has turned out great for us. Who's to say it won't be the same in this case? In football there are no guarantees; once we can strike a good deal, there is no reason to not sign him.
I know people are going to say the usual, don't judge a player from youtibe clips, but I've actually seen him play a couple times for Palermo (while Pastore was there) and he manged to impress me. Here is a clip just to give you a little idea of what he's capable of:

Sneijder for 10m would still be a huge bargain. and if we're going to lose Robinho and even sadder now, Pato, then surely the management must bring in a very good alternative. I'd personally rather get Seijder and maybe even Kaka and go for a Carlo type xmas tree than get a mediocre forward like Matri, who at this point would be of no use to us. We can already see how Pazzini struggles because we have terrible supply from midfield.
Something like this imo would be great
Abate--Mexes--Zapata--Constant
Prince--Monto--Nocerino
Sneijder--Kaka
SES
I personally don't see El Shaarawy as a winger, his dribbling is very bad. He does have pace and an amazing eye for goal. Which is why he should be closer to the goal imo
Fillipo Simone
Dec 31 2012, 12:25 PM
Sneijder in? For the same amount Robinho is worth? That really would be a steal. I know he's injury prone, but so is Robinho and also all other players had considered (Kaka, Ganso, etc.). I'm all for it, this is a player who can bring us to the next level.
