I would expect nothing less from our inept management tbh

Doubt the rumor mills will add anything to our market, except disappointment han.
We might get a WC player, just one if that player respects our wage cap. Otherwise, more Muntaris and Flaminis are incoming... Unless you consider Destro to being something significant .. That should sum up this mercato

I hope that's true. and it's a logical thing to do at this point IMO, to secure first option on him. otherwise if he gets fit again and shows he's not finished, there's no way other European teams will not try to sign him when he's still so young. hell, his departure won't even hurt anymore if that's true, cause it's a win-win situation for the club. we'll see...

I disagree. I think out of the mentioned, only Drogba would present a upgrade and new element in attack. Destro would be, just like Bojan, another "foreign" short-term element I fear.
But yes, Pato coming back makes perfectly sense.

Winter transfer window is usually a nightmare and you have to over pay. Teams won't let their starters go uness it's for a big price usually and most teams backups are in no way good enough for us.

If Robinho is worth 8-10 million the Abate is at least 15, if not more. But it would be ridiculous to sell one of our starters in mid season, leaving us with a kid and a veteran that never really could play a fullback in adequate proportions.

He is a makeshift RB than can hardly reach the opposition's half. He is decent defensively on the right, but it's more like playing with a handicap. It's not like he is Costacurta and can play RB like a BOSS! Wasn't he 40 with that assist against Barca... From that to Acerbi...

So why don't we just pack up and give up while we're at it?
So now we're going to sell anyone when an offer that goes over 10m comes in?
Abate is one of the last few good ones we have, he's a product of our system and still young. Add to that he's on a small salary. There is no good reason as to why he should be sold.
Sell him and then what?

Adriano Galliani has confirmed Robinho turned down offers from other Brazilian clubs after talks with Santos broke down. “He’s staying with Milan.”
The Vice-President was in Brazil over Christmas to complete Alexandre Pato’s €15m sale to Corinthians, though Robinho did not get his move to Santos.
“Binho did not want to leave Milan, he just wanted to go home,” explained Galliani this evening.
“We failed to agree a deal with Santos and his agent couldn’t agree personal terms either.
“Other Brazilian clubs were ready to fulfil all the requirements, but Robinho wanted to stay with Milan. I heard from Gremio yesterday and they wanted him at all costs.
“There are regrets over Pato, as he had two stratospheric seasons without injury and was also decisive in the 2011 Scudetto.
“The lad wanted to go back to Brazil and joined the side that won the Club World Cup.
“With Pato there were six strikers, while now we have five and they are enough. If nobody else leaves, then nobody will come in during the January window.”
